Weeks ago the kids came home from a friends with these chips from Trader Joe’s. They freshly opened them and found a chicken bone inside the bag. It’s been weeks of back and forth with TJs communicating and they tried to tell us it’s just a bunch of rolled up chips. 🤣- either way, we are just trying to help them by asking them to check any other bags from assembly. Now they want us to send it all back, which we are, but I wanted to document my little chicken bone friend one last time before we say goodbye.

Since many of you asked yesterday: Unkey paid us $90k for this rebrand and design. If you think that’s a lot, it really isn’t once you see how much was delivered. Good branding is not just a logo and a few gradients - it’s a huge system built to help a brand evolve across materials without relying on the same visual trick over and over. That’s exactly the kind of system we build for companies. And while today you’ll probably see another round of scary posts about design being eaten by GPT Image 2.0, remember: there are still companies willing to pay a lot for branding done by humans with taste. Those humans may use AI. AI may help speed things up. But it’s still just a tool - and like any tool, you need to learn how to use it.

Making smart glasses frames was way harder than I thought. Here's what I learned: Materials matter. You can't use normal plastic, because it has to be light and safe to touch your face So we chose TR90 plastic that's made for eyewear Fake gray-market TR90 plastic is common in China. You gotta go to the source and make sure your TR90 is legit Glue is so important. If you put too much glue it will give issues, and add weight. Too little glue, won't stick. That's why it's better for a robot to do it (VIDEO) If the glue doesn't match the material perfectly, then it won't stick. So we tried like 4 glues to get the best one for our smart glasses You design the frame in 3D and then make a tool. A tool is just a metal mold that is shaped like the glasses. You put a bunch of melted plastic (TR90) in the tool, let it cool, and out pops the glasses frame. Do that 10,000 times Tooling leaves seams in the frame, so we figured out where to put the seam so it doesn't cut into your ear when you wear it Obviously this all must be super lightweight because the electronics are heavy The camera needs a certain perspective, so the glasses frame angles the camera down to capture hands in videos Throughout the design process, you can't sacrifice style And now our Mentra Live frames are born

Israeli extremists have attacked the West Bank village of Ma'aleh. They burned cars, homes, and physically attacked residents by throwing stones. 3 Palestinians were reportedly killed. Listen, I get that it's hard. I'm posting this with the full knowledge that the people who hate me will read it with glee. But we can't stop calling out the violent sect of our people, even if the world will use it as ammo against all Israelis. We must show our moral clarity. These actions are, by definition, terrorism; they are meant to terrorize a population. I want Israel to survive, but I also want it to be a country I can be proud of. Letting these hateful radicals get away with violence is unacceptable. And I know there are many others like me, horrified by this news, but scared that calling it out will just make the abuse we face all the worse. We can’t let fear make us ignore our morals.

You know that feeling when you've been at sea a long time and something in your body knows land is close before your eyes do. Something ancient in the blood. That's now. Right now. We've been in the dark so long some of us forgot what we were looking for. Kept moving anyway. Sheer bloody stubbornness. Ireland knew that trick. You don't need to see the end. You just need to keep your hand on the thread and refuse to let go. We refused. All those years. All those dead ends and betrayals and moments where the sane thing would have been to quit and go live a small quiet life and pretend. We didn't. And now listen to me. The forest is thinning. I can feel it in my chest like a pressure change. The trees are getting lighter. The ground is different underfoot. We are not there yet but brother we are close enough to smell it. Something enormous is unlocking right now across this planet in the minds of ordinary people and it cannot be reversed. Cannot. They've thrown everything. It wasn't enough. It was never going to be enough because you cannot keep the truth caged forever, it has no metabolism, it doesn't get tired, it just waits. We waited with it. And now we are walking out of this thing. Heads up. Backs straight. Free men. Like we always were supposed to be.

Human creativity is a beautiful thing, and the images we all have in our heads is much better expressed through motion, brush-strokes, song, tone of voice than through a simple text prompt. ✨Introducing YesCheff is a web app that helps you learn, cook, and enjoy your favorite recipes through step-by-step cooking guides built from real YouTube content. You can even use your own YouTube links. A small but special project where I brought all my capabilities together, from design (brand & product) to animation, and development. This project came from exploring how Al models parse data into frontend components and the development of generative interfaces. I designed and developed the structure through React components (HTML, CSS, JS) for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. This is a testament of how one could develop digital products in a less frustrating and more flexible way with the use of Al, particularly when it comes to getting the styling and functionality right.
