Design Engineering Tip Consider letting textareas grow with the content instead of introducing nested scrolling. It often creates a smoother writing experience and keeps forms easier to scan. CSS: textarea { field-sizing: content; }

Whoot! I just learned you can use animatable CSS grid rows to transition an element's height from 0 to auto! Toggle a class and see the magic happen. Thx to Chris Coyier for sharing this little gem. 💯 Video alt: Exampe showing an animated height.

Contrast ColorOS15 with S25 Ultra One UI 7.0 animation adjusted by Home Up. Samsung has reached a height that other brands can't reach in this field. It can be adjusted to what you want.

when aligning icons with text, you can set the height to 1lh it equals the element's line-height, so icons align perfectly

✍️ New Article: Better fluid sizing with round() I wrote about how CSS round() enhances the values you get from clamp() in sizing, typography, and spacing. Why it matters, and how to use it. 🔗

everyone is obsessed with the height difference in hugs but can we talk about kissing someone with the same height as you... no neck pain, no awkward positions, just fitting together

Probably the most annoying thing for me in animations / scrollable content is how easy it is to just clip the content. Even if there is no border around to clip it with, adding masks is a one-liner in css now. (slowed down transition)

The Sledgehammer is an all-kit melee weapon #Battlefield6. It can be used to smash walls and other structures with one or two direct impacts, and inflict a small amount of damage to vehicles. Pretty slow to equip and swing, but a guaranteed one-hit-kill. If you break the floor, be careful with the height of the ground :)

You can say whatever you want about Dillon Gabriel’s height - it’s a low blow - but this kid can SPOT the ball… remember this is one of the greatest college football quarterbacks EVER

Just a heads up that you should never be rendering 10,000 lines of anything, especially if all the lines are the same height, as in code. List virtualisation is a very old and simple technique. You can experiment with the below at

kinda wild how far you can get with CSS alone a scroll animation tied to the content scroll powers the percentage update + icon animation interpolate-size provides a way to transition the popover between button size and content size using starting-style 🤙

Your swing plane has a direct relationship with the height of the pitch. Your physical skill set also comes into play. For example, if you are a non runner with big power, you probably want to work more under the ball & if you are a plus runner without power you might focus on lower line drives & hard ground balls. Certainly the game situation weighs in as well.

there are two ways to make inline icons match text: guess a px value or use the font’s cap height `1cap` gives you the second one. it sizes the icon from the height of capital letters, so it keeps matching when font-size changes.

Hey, one of my Discord bros just made a PUBG Mortar Calculator that also accounts for map height. Ping where you are, where you want to shoot, and it will automate how far to aim accounting for map height. Disclaimer: my contributions to this project, also doesn't involve datamines
