Demonstrating it's STOL capabilities the Soviet War Memorial in Berlin in 1940, the Fieseler Fi 156 Stork was a German WWII liaison aircraft built for extreme short-field ops. It could takeoff in under 230 feet, land in 60, and stall at just 31 mph thanks to its long wings and leading-edge slats. Over 2,900 were made with a 240 hp Argus engine, 109 mph top speed, 46 ft 9 in wingspan, and 32 ft 6 in length. It famously lifted Mussolini from a mountain prison in 1943.
