This is how much this man hates South Africa and Africa. He lies that there is a white genocide in South Africa. He made this speech yesterday. He continues to lie that there is a genocide in South Africa. That is why I do not understand the African idiots who support this man. You have to be a big black African idiot to support Donald Trump. South Africa is the biggest economy in Africa. It has taken care of millions of Africans, giving them an opportunity to pursue their dreams and to feed their families. There are millions of Africans living in South Africa, and yet Donald Trump is trying to destroy that economy that helps many Africans to sustain a decent living. And yet there is a black African who supports this man and sees Trump as a hero. Trump is an idiot. I do not care about him. But I am astonished that there is a black African somewhere in Africa seeing Donald Trump as a hero, and yet the same Donald Trump is trying to destroy the biggest economy in Africa for no apparent legitimate reason. South Africa has done nothing wrong to America, nothing wrong to Donald Trump, and yet yesterday he made this shameless speech. This makes me absolutely angry, livid, to know that there is an African out there who supports this idiot. He is running his racist refugee programme. He has blocked all other black nationals from Africa from seeking asylum in America. That is fine. We do not care about America. But he is using his racist programme to try and destroy the very mainstay of African economics, because that is what South Africa is to Africans. It was my honor today to present a Palestinian Kufiyeh to her excellency Dr. Naledi Pandor, the South African minister of International relations, to express our love and gratitude as Palestinians to the people of South Africa. Ignorance is indeed very expensive. This guy who is celebrating Donald Trump clearly does not understand what Donald Trump has done to South Africa, which the guy claims to love. Here are a few things that Donald Trump, whom he is celebrating, has done to South Africa. Donald Trump has threatened South Africa’s trade relationship with the United States and imposed punitive tariff measures on South African exports. He has also publicly and falsely accused South Africa of discriminating against white Afrikaners, falsely promoted damaging claims of a so-called “white genocide”, and runs a racist refugee programme for white South Africans. He portrays South Africa as a country persecuting minorities and has used the White House and international platforms to amplify narratives that South Africa itself says are factually inaccurate. He has linked aid and diplomatic relations to South Africa’s imagined land reform expropriation and attacked South Africa over its case against Israel at the International Court of Justice. His actions have damaged investor confidence through hostile rhetoric, increased diplomatic tensions between Washington and Pretoria, and contributed to the portrayal of South Africa as a country in crisis despite repeated objections from the South African government. The cumulative effect of these actions has been diplomatic strain, economic uncertainty, reputational damage, pressure on trade relations, and the reinforcement of international narratives that sane South Africans know are misleading, politically motivated, and harmful to South Africa’s interests. South Africa has already lost about US$439 million, around R8.5 billion due to Trump’s actions against it. The people who will suffer the most are not politicians or wealthy business owners, but ordinary South Africans. The result is fewer jobs, lower economic growth, and less tax revenue to fund public services. In a country already battling high unemployment and poverty, economic punishment ultimately falls hardest on those who can least afford it. At best, this guy speaking is a useful idiot advancing someone else’s agenda without understanding the consequences. At worst, he is politically naive, economically illiterate, and acting against both his own interests and those of his fellow South Africans. Either way, he is cheering a guy harming the very country he claims to love. As I said yesterday, these groups are advancing an agenda that belongs elsewhere and is being funded from somewhere, riding on genuine concerns that have now been hijacked by South Africa’s enemies. Sadly, one cannot understand this in the absence of critical thinking. I never thought that I would live to see the day when a black South African would bootlick an American president who has done so much to harm his country. Ignorance is indeed very expensive. To understand the level of ignorance we are dealing with, this gentleman confidently informed us that the United States has more than 700 million people while arguing about immigration. The actual population of the United States is about 340 million. He overestimated it by more than 360 million people, an error greater than the population of America The irony is that he was trying to lecture others about immigration and population issues while not knowing the population of the very country he was using as an example. If you cannot get a basic demographic fact right, it becomes difficult to take seriously your analysis of immigration, labour markets, economic policy, or population dynamics. This is not a small mistake. Population size is one of the most fundamental facts in any discussion about immigration because it provides the context for understanding the scale of migration and its impact. When someone is wrong by more than 360 million people, they are not simply getting a number wrong. They are demonstrating that they do not understand the subject they are trying to explain, they are just a hammer for someone else. That is why confidence should never be mistaken for knowledge. What he did praising Trump is like a Mozambican, Angolan, Zimbabwean, or Namibian enthusiastically praising the apartheid state for one policy while ignoring that apartheid South Africa spent decades undermining the liberation and development of African countries throughout the region and killing black South Africans. At some point, admiration for a single policy has to be weighed against the totality of the damage caused. The level of ignorance is trying astounding!!

South Africa does business with other African countries. We buy oil from the continent and many South African business do business on the continent. Soon those businesses will be removed and we have South Africans working in those countries. We must never allow our Ubuntu to be undermined by vigilantes. It is interesting that American senators can now see the idiotic aspect of Donald Trump’s policy towards Africa, or rather his lack of any coherent African policy. Labelling South Africa as a “genocide republic” was one of the worst diplomatic mistakes the United States could have made, because bringing back South Africa into America’s sphere of influence will now take a great deal of time, money, and political capital. In a world with two competing powers, America and China, it was absurd for Trump to behave as he did. His lies about an “Afrikaner genocide” and his racist programme of fast-tracking so-called refugees from the Afrikaner community while denying refugee status to anyone with dark skin was one of the most foolish and self-defeating policies America has ever pursued. It damaged American credibility, insulted an entire continent, and played directly into the hands of rival global powers. South Africa is a country that will never collapse, and Donald Trump’s failure to understand which countries matter most on the continent shows how badly he misread Africa. He could not even figure out which states anchor regional politics and economics. That is why South Africa refused to be manipulated by his, for lack of a better word, crazy foreign policy towards South Africa and the continent. Anybody who wants to do anything serious in Africa knows that they will almost certainly have to talk to South Africa if coordination across multiple African countries is required. South Africa is the powerhouse of the continent, whether people like it or not. I am glad that these American senators have finally realised this, but it may be too late for the Trump administration. It will take another president, with a serious worldview, to invest the time and resources needed to bring South Africa back into the American sphere of influence. From Henry Kissinger to every major American Secretary of State, South Africa was always treated as strategically important. In a world full of uncertainty, it is astonishing for an American president to embarrass himself and his country by lying about a South African genocide that does not exist, and by allowing groups within his MAGA orbit to spread nonsense about Christians being killed in South Africa. I want my followers to understand that you SHOULDN’T insult South Africa as a country based on a few loud voices on social media who express racist or xenophobic views. South Africa has provided numerous opportunities to the world, particularly to Africans. If South Africans were truly xenophobic, Africans would not be living there in such large numbers today. The majority of South Africans are welcoming to all foreigners who are legally in the country and do not commit crimes. These foreigners work with South Africans, live with them, and many are married to South Africans. There is nothing to worry about in South Africa if you are there legally and not committing crimes. South African citizens have the right to express concerns about illegal foreign nationals and those who commit crimes. In Zimbabwe, illegal foreigners are often placed in dilapidated jails, and refugees are housed in camps like Tongogara in Manicaland. Generalisations are dangerous, especially when they taint and insult a silent majority that is not xenophobic. Local communities in South Africa have protected foreign nationals from a small, violent minority on many occasions. The South African government is not xenophobic either. If it were, Zimbabwean women, who make up 70% of pregnant women giving birth at Musina Hospital in Limpopo, would not be allowed there. We should be grateful for the South African hospitality we have received for decades. It is important to recognise that while xenophobia and racism may exist in certain pockets of society, these attitudes do not reflect the majority of South Africans or the country as a whole. Respecting the rights of South African citizens to voice concerns about illegal immigration and crime is important, as these are valid issues. However, it is equally important to avoid generalising these concerns to portray the entire nation as xenophobic or unwelcoming. If South Africans were truly xenophobic, parties like PA and Action SA would be in power today. The four largest political parties in South Africa have never used xenophobia as a campaign platform, which should be telling. Do not judge a nation's character based on a few loud, yet inconsequential voices on social media. They do not represent South Africa accurately. Countries are a product of their history. We shouldn’t draw comparisons with where we come from and insist that our hosts should behave as we do. If South Africans were to follow our practices in Zimbabwe, refugees would be in camps and illegal foreigners would be in jail! In Zimbabwe, refugees are not even allowed to work, if you are found working, you are thrown into jail. South Africa, on the other hand, provides equal legal rights in its courts to foreigners as it does to South Africans. These actions are not those of a xenophobic country. Zimbabwe has refused to issue documents to people of Malawian and Zimbabwean origin, and it has revoked the citizenships of many Zimbabweans whose great-grandparents came from elsewhere. In any society, you are going to have opportunistic politicians and unemployables who think that all their problems are caused by foreigners, we have them everywhere, but they shouldn’t be used to define a whole nation!
