Seymour pulled this same stunt before when he claimed a student in Whangārei was made to stand up and admit their white privilege. Seymour's story made headlines all over the media. Only problem was, there was no proof it ever happened.

He’s the associate minister of education and telling lies about this. Who do we complain to? Maybe @EricaStanfordMP should have a word with him, or fire him for lying to the nation.

The far-right playbook: Step 1. Make up ridiculous boogeyman story about issue. Step 2. Fearmonger about bogeyman. Step 3. Rubes treat bogeyman as real due to fearmongering. Step 4. Push through legislation to "solve" the non-existent problem created by the bogeyman.

I can also point out the economic growth that has occurred in the Eastern Bay Plenty and Christchurch as result of iwi investment .

Absolutely, he is making it up but unfortunately lots of gullible people believe him. Te Reo whether he likes it or not is an official language of this country & will be incorporated into parts of the NZ curriculum. It has nothing to do with his TPB & this won't be impacted by it

It did happen. It happened to Māori kids when they were forced to use English in school instead of te reo
