Our giraffe herd has grown by one not-so-little GIRL! 💕 Born in the evening hours of May 31, she stood 6’2” tall and weighed 152 lbs. at birth. This little one was born to mom, Kala, and dad, Apollo. The calf has been bonding well with mom behind the scenes since birth, with plans to meet other herd members and make her debut on habitat in the coming days (weather permitting)! But … we need help choosing her name! Our friends TODAY announced her birth on-air this morning and opened a poll to vote on her name! The vote opened today and will end with a name announcement on TODAY on June 27! U can totally feel the old lioness Britney that slayed the stage came out 🔥 You can tell she was putting everything into this performance. Despite her anxiety, despite all the drama with her family and team, despite not having performed LIVE on tv for years, despite knowing the entire world was watching her, she went there and killed it! I am glad that after her retirement she gave us iconic performances like this, leaving behind an indelible and legendary memory and legacy. She’s truly the only UNDISPUTED PRINCESS OF POP 👸🏼

💔❤️ FROM BEING ABANDONED, TERRIFIED, TO THIS…Beautiful Shannon ❤️ Just two Fridays ago, a poor dog was tied to a bush in Dublin city, right across from busy Heuston Station. On a Friday night, with crowds passing by, she coward there for hours, so scared, confused, and completely unsure of what was happening to her. It was heartbreaking to witness. With the help of some incredibly kind people who stayed with her and kept her safe until we arrived, we were finally able to bring her to safety. And look at her now… it’s like night and day. Shannon is unbelievable. She loves to play, she adores cuddles, and her beautiful personality is shining through more and more each day. This is what rescue is about. This is why we endure the heartbreak. Why we face criticism and cruelty from narrow-minded people. Why we put ourselves on the line for animals who have no one else. Because a result like Shannon is worth every tear, every sleepless night, and every ounce of anguish. We love her ❤️ A huge thank you to Eoin, our long-term volunteer and dog behaviourist Underdog training, you have been truly amazing. If you can, please consider donating towards Shannon’s future. She will be spayed and will soon undergo surgery on her eye. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference❤️ Thank you for supporting MLHR ❤️

Chained for 12yrs and left to go blind thru infection , she was finally tossed away like she was nothing 😡 Lara from Amores Peludos was picking up galgos from this Galguero and he said he wanted to get rid of her. He cut the chain, handed her over and didn’t even feel a thing … not even after 12yrs of being her owner. Could it be any sadder? Josefina is now with GDS and it’s possible to save her sight. Her eyes have been so badly infected for so long it won’t be easy and she will need an operation. The most important thing tho at this point is finding her a home to live out her last years. We made a little princess area in an old caravan but it’s not a home. For now tho it’s the best she’s had and she even got a bone 🍖 Please can we find her a home? Plz share 🙏🏻❤️
