Filth on Mount Everest. Brought to you by The North Face.

Climbing Mt Everest these days is no longer a major achievement. Guides lead you up there and handhold you the whole way. It’s like strapping yourself to a professional skydiver and jumping out of an airplane one time. Anyone can do that.

The sad thing is that most of these people would consider themselves as environmentalists.

Time for North Face to design a biodegradable product, that left in the elements will decay naturally. It would avoid this type of "forever trash" from occurring.

The "environmentalists" should be required to pay a huge clean-up fee.

The North Face, REI, Patagonia, etc. need to fund & organize a clean up. Leave no trace.

Every company with trash on Mount Everest has a high ESG score. It's baloney.

I've traveled here. It's pretty sad. and wait till you find out that there is permafrost and that digging a hole to poop in is nearly impossible so people literally just poop... EVERYWHERE. there is like 20 year old poop sitting out in the open at all the camps.

I have been to Everest it's not north face it's people who don't care or make excuses against the principles of leave no trace 🗻

What’s the point of making this climb? Many many others have done it, so it’s not unique or even unusual. And when you get there, you’re camping in a junk yard. At this point it just seems like a bucket list item.
