We built an AI phone agent for Beardbrand customer service in about two days. It's now our main support line. Feel free to ask your Grok Bot to use this as a guide for building yours out. Here's exactly how we did it: The stack > xAI's Voice Agent Builder for the voice. (8 cents a minute) > Shopify for orders. Recharge for subscriptions. > One small Cloudflare Worker in the middle. On Cloudflare's free tier. > Google Workspace to email our team. > Recharge for subscriptions Step 1. Make it a consultant rather than a support agent. Help callers through their needs, rather than just take orders. The agent asks questions before recommending anything. Who is it for? What do you use now? What scents do you like? Learn about the caller before selling. Step 2. Connect it to Shopify the right way. The voice tool couldn't send Shopify's auth header directly. So we built a tiny service in the middle. The agent talks to the service. The service talks to Shopify. The Shopify keys never touch the agent. Step 3. Privacy first. Our order numbers are sequential. Anyone could guess one. Early on, the agent read back a stranger's name and email when I gave it a wrong name. Not okay. So we split it into two levels: 1. Order status and delivery date need two matching details: order number, name, email, phone, or address. 2. Anything private or any change needs a 6-digit code emailed to the address on file. Tracking numbers, address changes, replacements, subscriptions. The agent never says why verification failed. It never reads back personal info. Repeated misses lock out. Step 4. Let callers fix things themselves. What it does today: 1. Order status with the actual expected delivery date, not a tracking number dump. Tracking numbers only when asked, read slowly. 2. Change the shipping address on unshipped orders 3. Lost or damaged packages. Older orders go to a person. 4. Subscriptions: skip, reschedule, pause 5. Phone orders: we don't take payment over the phone. It builds a draft order and emails a secure checkout link. Step 5. Never send callers somewhere else. This is our main line. The agent never says "call us" or "email us." If it can't finish something, it takes a message and emails our team. The caller hears "the team will follow up by email." Step 6. Build a dashboard. Every call shows up in a page inside our Shopify admin. Time, what they wanted, verified or not, outcome, link to the order. Click a call to see the full recap. Step 7. The voice. I cloned my own voice. The first recording had pops and crackles. Re-recording about 100 seconds of natural, unscripted talking fixed most of it. The model handles the tone. Less is more on the settings. Things to consider: Start with lookups only. Add actions one at a time. Put a service between the AI and your store. Keep keys out of the AI. Test like a scammer. Then have someone who isn't you test it. This took about 30 - 40% of my weekly usage. I'm on 𝕏's Premium+ plan that's like $40/month. Future features: > Adding text messaging functionality in addition to email. > Matching caller id phone number as form of verification > Improving our email design of draft orders Keep on growing.

I want to clarify something about posting about the statues or figures. I don't sell the Resident Evil products, statues, or figures that I post. I only share information and links about new pre-orders that might interest the community, as I'm also a collector. Many large Resident Evil community accounts also share them, both licensed and unlicensed. I also help inform the community on how to get official Resident Evil merchandise from Japan by translating for them. is one of the largest statue shops out there (they're a shop, they don't manufacture the figures), and I've also bought from their site before and received the figure. If people are curious, they can just check out the studio's other statues/busts on the Orzgk website or at other reputable retailers that also sell the SAME figure. You can also wait for the first photos and/or videos of the statues in person; many studios provide these to retailers after pre-orders close. In case they cancel the project, they'll refund your money in full. So, to everyone who insults me, do your research before accusing me of sharing potential "scams" or creating the "conceptual" images that the studio shares of its products. I don't use AI in my posts or in the edits I make (posters, collages, etc.). We are headed to criticality by July 4th. It will be tight. But in the next few weeks, multiple American companies, Aalo among them, will get there.
