final fantasy 7 rebirth on the steam deck! very solid performance with dips in some areas and crowded towns. loads fast. i’ve been playing a ton of it here and it’s a miracle to play a game this massive and expensive on a handheld.

there is LOTS OF bad pop in for LOD elements. the ps5 version also suffered this bit playing this on low makes that worse. but i already played the game on ps5, i dont mind playing a dressed down version. and it isn’t as noticeable on the small screen.

I'm not really a handheld gamer, but it really is impressive. If they can get this thing on Switch 2 and it sells anywhere near the first Switch (which is way above Steam Deck sales), that'll be huge.

much sharper than that at least. except in towns, the dynamic resolution will kick things down for sure
