If I remember correctly this supposed to be used as a connection/reference/advertisement for the Disneyland ride but they canceled the next season which would have had Spidey recruit more younger heroes into WEB.

I love how Tony funds all the heroes now since it just makes sense

Too bad we didn't get to see said future, it was just left open-ended. Especially since we don't know what Max does after he shut the school down(not that I can recall fully anyway) I like to think he either turned horizon into the company like in the comics, or joined web
