Finally able to share some WARDOGS gameplay from this past weekend! It really does feel a lot like Battlefield used to back in the good old days. It's certainly not for everyone, the gameplay is slower, there are more realistic mechanics here that arcadey players will not be drawn...

@WARDOGS It’s very close to Battlefield 2 style of gameplay so I’m all in. Can’t wait for release.

@WARDOGS At least the maps are designed for vehicle play, unlike modern BF maps which contain like 2 lanes for vehicles to traverse because the maps are full of so much debris and 'cover' for infantry tanks can't move anywhere except a handful of premade pathways..

Sorry you don’t seem to agree or respect my opinion. I’m not saying it’s the same game mode or anything, but the feeling of squad play and helicopter mechanics takes me back to the good old days of Battlefield. I haven’t played many other mil-simy titles so that’s what I draw a comparison from.

@WARDOGS What like in Wardogs that it's not built around squad leaders like Squad or HLL. And people playing outside any squads still communicate on local voip. In Squad or HLL the fun from the game depends strongly on squad leaders. You don't have one, your round won't be fun.

@WARDOGS Its not like BF3 or BF4 Ghost, really not. And the money system, I dont like it, the richer players can dominate the poorer ones with ease, the free gun has not even any attachments^^

Profilbild von GhostGaming
GhostGamingvor 2 Monaten

@WARDOGS Cos it’s free mate, just kill someone and take their kit. I know what you mean though people who had more stuff unlocked kinda dominated. I say it’s more like BF2, not so much 3,4

@WARDOGS Were you able to rebind pitch and stuff to the mouse? Or did you just get used to WASD doing everything, I couldn't get used to that.

Profilbild von GhostGaming

@WARDOGS I rebound pitch and roll to mouse and put yaw on A and D. There was a toggle under gameplay I think for rotary vehicles on mouse.

@ShaggyKevin1329 @WARDOGS I think so yeah, IIRC there were toggled for what the x and y axis do and I think you could flick between pitch, roll and yaw

@WARDOGS How's the ttk when fighting other helis? One of the reasons I hate bf6 is because of the ttk being too fast on helis. Can we fly using rifle aim in this game? TIA

I’m just hoping they don’t end up over tuning the helos in the future to a point where they end up being like BF where they are overly agile and sniper accurate with their guns. The last thing the game needs is somebody being able to hog a helo and going 80-0 just killing enemies and not providing transport or support for the rest of the team.

@WARDOGS I get what you mean by saying it's "slower" but I feel it looks to be just at the right spot. Call of battleduty 6 modern fomo, was just so disappointing to me... Everytime I play it, even though im having fun with my friend, I keep asking him if bf6 was worth the money...

For those that feel disappointment when not getting the results they want: -There are steps to success. When you play, you are working towards a goal and there are always steps to it! TCGs are a sport to me. My life revolves around them and I train to be the best that I can be physically and mentally. But regardless of preparation or skill level, there will be bad days. -Some days you are able to be successful and some days you are not. Sometimes it is your day and sometimes it is not. It’s natural to be upset. I’ve cried many times after a big loss because I care so much. But if you’ve given everything you had and have a bad round, a bad day, a bad tournament, or a bad stretch of tournaments, then it was not a failure. Failure is when you didn’t put in maximum effort or try in the first place. Michael Jordan played 15 seasons and won 6 championships. His other 9 seasons were not a failure. They were steps to his success. Cutting to a single elimination top 64 from 2000 players after only 9 rounds is extremely unforgiving. Just because that 3% succeeded, does not mean the other 97% have failed. Make no mistake about it, those who consistently succeed do not get there by accident. They earn it. But again, regardless of work ethic or talent, there will be good days and bad days. You have to bounce back and keep trying! IF you are putting in the work then every tournament is you taking the steps to work towards your goals. I encourage you to be honest with yourself about your preparation but not be hypercritical and view everything as a failure. There are plenty of unbelievably talented players that have not yet made a Lorcana Top cut and if you are in this group then you are in good company

Sam Altman says AI leaders have done a terrible job at communicating to the public: “The, ‘Dear peasants, we will bequeath upon you these gifts of a cure for cancer and material wealth and great entertainment, and you stop complaining, and we'll make all the decisions about the future and just trust us, we'll be benevolent dictators.’ That’s not good. Not good.” “A lot of the people building AI have been saying, ‘There's a 25% chance we're going to destroy the world, and yet we're going to race ahead to do it because otherwise those bad guys will do it first.’” “Or, ‘Man, this thing is going to be really terrible, and 50% of the jobs are going to go away in the next year, and we hope you all are okay, but it seems really scary.’” “We have not, as a field, done a very good job of explaining to people what the benefits are and how the downsides can be mitigated—and we certainly have not done a good job even if people have had answers like saying, ‘There's going to be UBI, or work will be optional.’” “There's been very little discussion from people about how and why it's important that people have more power and personal freedom in the world, not less. And that matters a lot to most people.” “The ability of people to influence their own future and collectively design where society is going to go, and the autonomy that comes with that, is very important. I don't think a lot of people in the AI field… they feel it for themselves, but they don't spend much time thinking about it, reflecting on or acknowledging how important that is to other people.”
