This happened last Monday at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, Terminal 4, 6:45 AM. Technical Sergeant Kevin Harris, 35, Air Force, was going through TSA screening when his former military dog, Riley — a seven-year-old German Shepherd - spotted him through the glass. Max and Kevin served together overseas from 2013 to 2015. When Max retired, Kevin was stationed abroad and couldn't take him right away, so Max entered the adoption system. Kevin searched for two years before finally locating him three weeks ago through a military dog rescue volunteer in Arizona. The plan was simple: volunteer Sandra would bring Max through security to meet Kevin on proper service dog credentials after he cleared TSA. But Max saw Kevin taking off his belt and shoes at the screening area - and everything changed. Security footage shows Max yanking the leash from Sandra's hands, sprinting full speed, and jumping a four-foot "Do Not Enter" barrier straight into the secure screening zone. He hit Kevin before Kevin even got his belt off. Both went down. TSA agents swarmed. Radios crackled. A supervisor reviewed the footage, checked Max's credentials, and questioned everyone involved. After fifteen minutes, he issued a formal warning — no charges. "I thought we were getting arrested," Sandra told us. "But the supervisor watched the footage and understood - it was a reunion, not a threat." Kevin laughed about it afterward: "I'm taking my belt off and Max comes flying over a TSA barrier in the middle of airport security. Worth every second of panic." The two flew home to Texas together that afternoon -twelve years after serving side by side, reunited by a barrier jump. Sometimes a dog's love doesn't wait for protocol. It just jumps the barrier and runs.

Loool😂 After leading a 6 year smear campaign against the Royal family, especially the Wales family; After hiring and losing 11 publicists and 3 big US PR houses in 5 years; After PR stunts after PR stunts, chasing the Kardashians, cooking shows and holiday special; Instagram blitz of PR online and even throwing their Children in the spotlight to save Mummy’s brand..😮‍💨 Meghan ranked #1 on Rankers 2025 list of Most Disliked Celebrity in Hollywood😂 It reads: “Meghan Markle has claimed the top position on Ranker's 2025 list of the Most Disliked Celebrities, according to live, crowd-sourced voting data. The duchess's rise to No. 1 follows several years of sustained public disapproval, particularly in the United States, after she and Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties."🤭 Harry was #5. Get this, she was first ahead of P Diddy, a known sexual offender. This is how you know your reputation is over😭 Even Buckingham Palace could not save H&M with their PR experts. No one can. Their true repulsive characters have been exposed to the world. There is no going back. As Socrates put it: “Consider your good name the richest jewel you can possibly be possessed of”🔥 As a public figure especially, your good name and good reputation is your entire credibility. Once that has been tarnished and exposed as toxic, no amount of PR can rectify the course. H&M have been making that list of most disliked celebrity in Hollywood as top 5 since 2022🤷🏽‍♀️ Their credibility on the world stage is so shot that the DM was just reporting on how most of the 11 publicists who left their employment have “scrubbed all mentions of working for the couple on their CVs”🤯 Yikes. Staff who used to work for the Wales proudly display in their CVs that they were employees of the Prince and Princess of Wales because William and Catherine’s good name carry in the world👌🏽 However, Staff who used to work for H&M would rather scrub them off their CV in order to be taken seriously because NO ONE worth their salt, takes the clowns of Montecito seriously. I am not sure what lies Meghan’s medium in New York told her about the year 2025 but whatever she said, I know 2025 has been her “Annus Horibilis”😂

I mean you do have a very good point, however I hope you can understand where I come from. (Sorry I’m advance for the long tweet back) This is exactly what I use to do when I was their age. We didn’t have the luxury of an independent scene we do now and even if we did I was 14 years old, I was only allowed to go to a training school to learn the basics. But I had an enormous passion for the business & if I wasn’t allowed to work shows I’d do it myself. - and I’d argue that because of this I had a head start on a lot of the people I trained with when I finally turned 18 From there I’ve been lucky enough to have the support of friends, peers & fans to push me into what I am today. The fact I’ve still had that same style for now 17 years and this is my first surgery, I think I’ve looked after my body. Think about it 17 years this is my first major injury. You think this is stupid, I would say it’s equally as stupid as to fall off a scaffolding breaking both your legs. And while I’m sure there’s a few people that wished you landed on your head, I for one hope you’re doing well & not in too much pain from your injury. But to me, it showed the care that you have for the industry at that time. I see myself in these guys that are finding any outlet to do what they love. Their bumps are solid & basing is great. Like I said I understand there is a level of danger doing this so I hope none of them get hurt but I can’t help but root for these guys and hope I one day see them in a ring. Once again sorry for the long arse tweet and hope the message finds you well boss.

Day 11/90 of Inference Engineering How does vLLM work and how is it used in production? Before we discuss how vLLM works internally, it helps to understand what vLLM is. At a high level, vLLM is an inference engine that is designed to serve LLMs to thousands of concurrent users efficiently while managing scarce compute and memory. The goal for vLLM is to maximize throughput and minimize latency; optimizing for the best inference economics and experience for end users. With every request from the end user, it eventually ends up in the engine core, gets scheduled alongside other requests from other concurrent users, executes on the GPU, and updates the KV cache with the new key and value vectors, and streams the tokens back to the user. The Scheduler decides what requests should execute next while continuously batching requests together to maximize GPU utilization. Continuous batching is an inference optimization that allows new requests to join a running batch as other requests finish generating tokens. This helps with keeping the GPU utilization high instead of letting it sit idle waiting for an entire batch to complete generating. After the scheduler dispatches the selected batch to the Model Executor, the Model Executor prepares the tensors and metadata required for inference, retrieves each request’s block table from KV Cache Manager, launches the optimized transformer forward pass on the GPU, computes the logits, updates the KV cache with the new key and value vectors, and finally returns the results for sampling and streaming. The KV Cache Manager uses the PagedAttention memory layout to allocate fixed-size cache blocks on demand and maintains a Free Block Queue on the CPU that tracks which blocks in the GPU’s Paged KV Cache are currently free. When a request needs additional KV cache space, the KV Cache manager takes a free block from the queue and assigns it to that request, thus avoiding an expensive search through GPU memory for available cache blocks. All of these components form the core of vLLM’s inference engine. The Scheduler determines what requests are executed, the Model Executor determines how those requests are executed, the KV Cache Manager determines where each request’s KV cache lives using the PagedAttention Memory Layout. This architecture enables vLLM to serve thousands of concurrent requests with high throughput, low latency, and efficient GPU memory utilization. Heres a little animation that visualizes everything! - I've also completed the forward pass for my mnist.c project. I had a nice chat with shrey birmiwal, such a knowledgeable guy. Excited to learn more about vLLM and implement a tiny-vLLM one day.

Your brain has a circuit that doesn't know you live in a city. Its only job is to monitor whether birds are still singing. Right now, in this room, it is on. The circuit predates primates. Mammals have been using ambient soundscape continuity as a predator-detection system for roughly 200 million years. Birds stop singing when something larger moves through their territory. For most of mammalian history, a forest full of song meant no large predator was nearby, and the cessation of sound was the warning. Your nervous system never updated this software. The Max Planck Institute tested the inverse in 2022 with 295 participants. Six minutes of birdsong dropped anxiety with a medium effect size. Six minutes of traffic noise raised depression with the same. The effect worked on subjects who lived in dense urban environments and had no regular contact with nature. The brain still ran the check. Birdsong sits in the 1,000 to 8,000 Hz range. Your brainstem reads continuous patterns in that band as a signal that nothing dangerous is currently moving through the environment. EEG data shows birdsong at 45 to 50 decibels boosts alpha wave activity by 14.1% relative to silence. Alpha is the brainwave signature of relaxed alertness. Push the same birdsong above 60 decibels and the response flips. Stress markers rise 29%. The circuit only trusts the signal at the volume of quiet conversation, which is exactly the volume birds sing at from a typical distance. Three things happen simultaneously when the brain registers ambient safety. The amygdala downregulates. The parasympathetic nervous system takes over from the sympathetic. Heart rate variability rises, cortisol drops. The posterior cingulate cortex, which sits at the center of the rumination circuit, quiets down. King's College London tracked this through a smartphone study with over 1,200 participants and found the mood lift lasted hours after the sound stopped. People diagnosed with depression got the same response as healthy controls. Most of what gets labeled mental fatigue is hypervigilance running in the background. Birdsong tells the circuit it can stand down, and the brain reallocates the freed compute everywhere else. A quiet park feels different from a quiet office because the parks have sentinels.
