I'm notified the moment a relevant job is posted on Upwork, and it's automatically placed into my personal job board on Trello, so I can either bid on it myself, or my agency va's can send out a proposal. This is what you're competing against so it's time to up your game. This took me a while to build, but it was well worth the time. The era of manually analyzing data will come to an end. AI can now do a lot of this automatically. It's a huge time saver. I do data analysis for a living, and I'm a huge fan of writing Jupyter notebooks to do it all, but it's now hard to justify manually writing code that you can generate in a few seconds. I still check everything manually, but breaking down datasets into tables and charts is now 10x easier than it's ever been. Here is a video where I'm using Retool. I load a dataset and generate a few charts as quickly as I can think. The speed at which we can go from one idea to a working solution is astonishing.

I got a smart meter recently and saw you can download a HDF file with the data so I had the idea of writing a script that could parse that and show the data in a useful manner. However I discovered that someone has already done this and done a really good job on it. The video explains how it works. In simple terms it uses the ESB smart meter data and shows a breakdown of how much data you are using and when and also recommends plans and estimates what each one would cost based on the data. The tool is available at easier to read on Laptop or Tablet or then your phone to Landscape.

Right now, I have a few dozen tools to automate my life. Every single thing that I do more than once every week is now a tool: either a Claude Code skill, a scheduled workflow, or an application. • I spend the time doing this once. • I schedule it. • I forget about it (or at least, try to) CREAO is one of the platforms I've used extensively for building some of these automations. They are partnering with me on this post. They are one of the only platforms where you can go from a conversation to a scheduled agent that quickly. This is how it works: 1. You describe the problem you want to solve 2. CREAO's agent builds the logic and executes it 3. You can iterate with the agent to improve the solution 4. When you are done, you turn that solution into a mini app 5. You can schedule that app to run any time you need it Something important: These agents are deterministic. They don't use an LLM to generate answers, so they will always return the same output given the same input. This is critical: when you're automating something that runs every Monday at 9 am, you need it to return the same result every time, not a "creative" answer.
