I was looking for Sandy but then realized maybe you didn't include her landfall in New Jersey because she wasn't technically a hurricane at landfall. I wonder if you'd be willing to do another one of these for tropical storms, too. And another for extratropical storms like Sandy. And yet another (this one might be much trickier) for nor'easters. That'd be cool.

Ever since you posted this dataset I still look at it a couple times a week and get lost in a rabbit hole of researching each storm and learning about the effects it had. I love this map, great job!

True story: Michael was clocked by a black box the air force didn’t know was still active near Tyndall at 212 mph. Horrendous devastation.

Can you calculate impacts per state, but normalize by miles of coastline each state has? For example FL has many impacts but it probably hs the most miles of exposed coastline as well. Just curious.
