These #indigenous communities stand on the... brink of a dire conflict, initiated by cross-border narco-terrorist groups. This conflict has resulted in a tragic toll of over 200 lives lost and the destruction of approximately 5,000 homes, leaving 60,000 people homeless. Given these distressing circumstances, the peace-loving people of Manipur earnestly appeal to the Indigenous Mechanism and other relevant bodies within this council to facilitate communication with the government of #India: 1. To prioritize the pressing issue of #IllegalImmigrations and the widespread illicit cultivation of #OpiumPoppies covering an area exceeding 10s of thousand acres in the hills of Indo-Myanmar Borderland particularly in Manipur. 2. To urge the competent agencies and parties to take urgent initiatives by relevant mandates to address the gross violations of the human rights in the ongoing violence in Manipur. 3. To recognize and address the menace of narco-terrorism and emerging new #Goldentriangle and its far-reaching consequences on the longstanding ethnic harmony, economic stability, and ecological well-being of the Indigenous People in Manipur and WSEA region. 4. Given the suspected involvement of immigrant armed militant groups in narco- terrorist activities in the region including the ongoing violence in Manipur, we call for a thorough review of the policy of Suspension of Operations with such groups by govt. of India. I have arrived in Jaipur, Rajasthan and met with many renowned organisations of Rajasthan. And we are having a conference tomorrow at Kasha Kothi and we need to aware all the Indians of how this current crisis started in Manipur. It's the only medium from that the truth will be known by all Indians. I won’t turn around until every Indian is against the Narco Terrorists. From many directions, many have been trying to shut my mouth for speaking the truth, but it won’t silence me. I will stand for the truth and will fight against those Narco Terrorists and illegal immigrants until they are completely wiped out from Manipur. I also request all the Leaders of Manipur to come together for Manipur and for our Indigenous people of Manipur. It's not time to dance to the tune of our central Political leaders. We must tell the ground reality of Manipur and they must react according to the situation . It is time to fight together for our Indigenous people and for our State. I do feel that, it's high time for leaders to come together and work collectively for one interest.

In the valley, we Meiteis are living peacefully with all the indigenous people of Manipur till date. If we are living peacefully in the valley, why not in the hills. What I mean in my speech is about communal harmony between the indigenous people of Manipur. Some leaders or organisation are misinterpreting my voice to live with all the YELHOUMEES peacefully. Just as we had a long discussion on Sindoor, we had expected in the last year that the House would discuss Manipur, given the gravity of the situation there. Just as the terrorists came from Pakistan and created havoc and tried to divide this country on communal lines to provoke us, the Union Home Minister, on the floor of this House, said that the crisis in Manipur was caused by the influx of illegal immigrants. Similarly, intelligence agencies have flagged off the involvement of armed groups from Myanmar in the crisis in the state. So it is like what we had experienced in Pahalgam in some sense. Ironically, Manipur was also called the little paradise, as Kashmir is called the paradise. The only difference is that the national attention is given to what happened in Kashmir, not to what happened in the state of Manipur. Our existence at the periphery and a marginal existence have been reaffirmed time and again, creating a sense of alienation and humiliation for the people of the state. Listen to A. Bimol Akoijam ji as he highlights the burning of Manipur since 2023, for which the Modi government did little to bring it under control.
