It’s a special feeling to celebrate your birthday in the place you were born, especially when you’ve been away from home for so long. I am grateful to Pakistan’s government and security officers for giving me that opportunity last week. I met educators and activists who are breaking down the barriers between children and their education. Artists who imagine the future and remind us that our best days are ahead. Girls determined to pursue their dreams, from the football pitch to the classroom. My heart is full of gratitude for everyone who made this trip possible, but even more so for the people and organisations who are working to turn every girl’s right to learn into her reality.

Ever heard the expression “shit rolls downhill”? Well we hit the bottom of the hill this week. Jobs were stacked way too tight on the schedule. Our operators were running 7 days a week, not finishing a job, and moving on to the next one with plans to return. Their hours were getting out of control too. Hitting 75 hours per week each. A surefire way to reach burnout. They’d be rushed to get to the next job, set a task to return to the last one, and move all the equipment over to the new one. This meant cash flow came to a screeching halt while expenses shot to the moon. Returning to a job to finish means a minimum of $500 in costs just to bring the equipment there and back. An unnecessary expense had we just took the time to finish properly in the first place. I’ve been nose deep in marketing and sales while this was happening and trusted that the production process was working. It wasn’t. They finally reached out and asked for help... at 8pm. We had 4 jobs set to start the next day and one of the trailers broke an axle. Rescheduling over 50 jobs is no easy task, and one they were all avoiding that created the problem in the first place. It’s difficult to tuck your tail between your legs and let a customer know their job needs to be pushed back up to 30 days. So I set into triage mode. Called each customer personally that was set to start the next day and let them know what was going on and what we needed to do. I then laid out every job on the schedule and set about not only fixing the current problem, but making sure it didn’t happen in the future. I wiped the jobs off the rest of the week so the team could go finish the jobs we left open ended and finish them properly. I then cleared every job off Fridays and weekends. This prevents burnout, overtime, and gives us 3 days a week to absorb rainouts, equipment issues, and job delays. This pushed the schedule 2 months further out, so I had to do the part everyone dreaded. Alerting the customers of their new start date. I reached out individually to each one to let them know. Fortunately, our customers are incredible and were very understanding. Nobody cancelled their job. Our operators have room to breathe, our quality can stay top notch, our cash flow returns, and the bandaid is ripped off. Now let’s get to work damnit!

Back-to-back HNL-SYD trips can be exhausting, but moments like this make every mile worth it. Last week I brought my wife and son with me to Sydney. They stayed behind while I flew back to Honolulu, and now I’m back to pick them up. Walking into the crew hotel and seeing my son waiting to greet me like this… there’s no better feeling. I’ve got a 48-hour layover, so we’re making the most of it. First stop: lunch at Newport in the Northern Beaches with a close friend, followed by two days of family time before we head home together. Aviation gives me the opportunity to see the world, but it’s moments with family like this that remind me why all the long flights, jet lag, and time away are worth it. 🤙🏼

Last year during UNILAG’s Hall week, Go crzy announced that he would be pulling up to give out free merch on campus on 26th July 2025, the night before when he announced it, i took it open myself to push it heavily because this was a big deal to me and my guys, the night before which was the 25th of july, two of my insanely talented friends (Ledum and M!) spent the whole night working on paintings for go crzy to show him how much they appreciate his impact in the fashion and art industry, considering the fact that they are creatives as well. Fast forward to the next day, due to some issues go crzy wasn’t able to come in to UNILAG and my guys Leduum and M? have tried to reach out to GOCRAZY to give him the paintings since then but to no avail, today Go crzy is coming to UNILAG again and i really want to give him these paintings, it’s long overdue. My DMs and notifications are blowing up from this slide situation. Here are my final thoughts. In every quarterback room I was in, we were taught to slide early (like way too early) and if you don’t, then you have to dive. Diving is the only way to protect yourself unless you decide to slide way before a defender is near you. Watch how Brock Purdy plays if you have questions about this. When he scrambles, he does a great job of deciphering slide versus dive situations. Niners fans see it every week. I’m not taking away from the fact that Trevor’s head injury is terrible, but we see this every other week with late hits on QB’s and when you have a guy running 18+ mph at you that has trucked defenders before, that’s a weird situation to be in. I’m not saying that Al-Shaiir was innocent, because he wasn’t, but I am saying that quarterbacks should be responsible with making it no doubt for defenders in split second situations. Trevor was clearly trying to get the first down and then slide. And we’ve also seen him people in the past. So I’m not buying the narrative that Trevor is a non-scrambling quarterback that slides all the time and that defenders should treat him that way. Happy to have a discussion leaving big feelings out of it :)

A day in the life of an 100,000+ acre farm. Meetings start at the shop at 4:30am. You get in your drill and head off to your designated seeding area. There is about a 70km radius of crops to seed from the main binyard. I always thought 4:30am was so awesome. Imagine having to get everyone on board to wake up at 4am daily to crush acres, it’s a feat in this day and age undoubtedly. It’s also a reason why few can compete against operations like this, pure savagery. Every team that seeds together gets a crew truck. Nothing pisses a tired crew off more than being late & chances are you are driving your own truck out to the seeder when you show up late. It has to run like clockwork to seed everything in a timely manner because you may lose some days to rain. Typically you would run as long as you can every single day. A 16 hour days are easy, it’s the back to back to back 18 or 20 hour days that are killers. I really enjoyed the long hours, I had started to track every one of my movements by acres. I knew on a perfect day I could do about 766 acres a day, but every turn I would deduct acres, stop to piss I would deduct acres, run out and grab supper I would deduct acres, fill the seeder I would deduct acres, check my runs I would deduct acres, fix my hoses I would deduct acres, I knew exactly how to bang out an awesome day and that usually meant no liquids after 10am so I didn’t have to stop to piss. Not everyone did this, in fact probably no one but me did this but I was obsessed with efficiency at the time. Seeding could last anywhere from 25 to 45 days depending. 2 of the seeding units were kept to finish sloughs, while the rest of the tractors were cleaned up, serviced and dropped back off at the JD dealership. 5 or 6 tractors were kept for grain carts to use at harvest but next seeding year all brand new JD tractors will be used, there is never used tractors used, the deadline is far too important and the dependability & warranty is crucial to complete seeding on time.

Coffee thoughts - I’m not sure Candace is coming back. “I want to thank Baron for telling me it was time to do this”. “Thank you to everyone that’s been on this journey it’s been a heavy one.” “Today went a lot different than I thought it was going to be” Just for the record the court filing I posted last night was to get more time to respond and to go from 25 pages to 35 pages on why the court case with Harpole should be dismissed for “Failure to state a claim”. She’s trying to get it dismissed before it goes to discovery. Put the paperwork in AI it will give you the specifics. We all knew it was coming. The money it takes to fight these suits is insane. She’d be stupid to not try to get it dismissed. And Tennessee has more laws protecting public figures so it would be easier to get dismissed than in Delaware (that doesn’t) with the Macrons. I still think more happened yesterday. And the way she was acting just gives me this maybe it for a bit. Maybe I’m wrong but I knew yesterday something was up. Her video seemed more directed at making her last claims on everyone than continuing the attack. There was nothing there for an emergency video. She’s heavily pregnant, she’s run out of material, she’s being sued and the cases are coming up, she has 4 kids about to be 5 and you can only attack people so long with the same accusations. The trial is coming up that will disprove the conspiracies. Or maybe she just wanted one last show until she gets back. I still question if maybe another lawsuit dropped. We shall see. Off to vacation myself. Apparently we are going to Spain. (Joking).
