When you develop locally.. - Lots of folders that are one time use, waste of disk space everything gets slow - Cybersecurity risk is high (supply chain attacks), one time configurations

what are the main performance advantages for you relative to a decent laptop? I used to work on remotes back when I did ML stuff and models were small enough to run on a single GPU. But now I mostly do full-stack (and AI is just calling APIs) and don't know what a beefy remote would add.

- it multiplies battery if you care about that since laptop isn't doing anything - i work on a lot of projects so i can keep them all up at all times - i compile a lot of native code - i compile a lot of frontends when testing sst's capability of deploying frontends - typescript server lol
