Thanks for finding & sharing this! So interesting. I knew the raps sounded "different" this time, and it's nice to get a technical explanation of what I was hearing. Chanyeol & Sehun's raps are almost always my fav parts of any song anyway ;)

I was excited to find it on my YT feed because I couldn’t explain it in technical terms, I just knew his flow was purposefully “off beat” or syncopated. He’s a drummer and musician so of course he is going to have a great understanding of rhythm, flow, cadence etc 🙌

Right! I've heard some people say they don't like it. That's ok because it's probably new to them, this style of rapping. But I've heard this in the U.S. RnB songs. I have to say that the rap line is one of my favorite parts in this song.
