Thanks for finding & sharing this! So interesting. I knew the raps sounded "different" this time, and it's nice to get a technical explanation of what I was hearing. Chanyeol & Sehun's raps are almost always my fav parts of any song anyway ;)
I was excited to find it on my YT feed because I couldnโt explain it in technical terms, I just knew his flow was purposefully โoff beatโ or syncopated. Heโs a drummer and musician so of course he is going to have a great understanding of rhythm, flow, cadence etc ๐

I just watched this! It's so validating to hear how EXO rappers, esp Chanyeol, are praised and appreciated for their skills, particularly in the new MV. He doesn't just spit bars... he does it with style and out of the norm . So good!

Right! I've heard some people say they don't like it. That's ok because it's probably new to them, this style of rapping. But I've heard this in the U.S. RnB songs. I have to say that the rap line is one of my favorite parts in this song.
