The fat woman with the maniacal smile made me want to sympathize with the thief until I saw the thief.

I don't know why I feel this way but number one, I did not like the manager. Something about her just didn't sit right with me. Second, yes what the girl did was dumb and a mistake. But for some reason I kind of felt sorry for her. She is young and made some stupid mistakes. But don't we all make stupid mistakes at some point in our lives. I hope and pray she can learn from this and grow into a better person and leader than what the manager seemed not to be.

I agree the employees are told to stand down when it comes to shoplifters. A few people have told me that information. They try to stop them but it’s difficult!

Ok playing the devils advocate and asking for any Attorney opinions on this. So Home Depot as a company has a No Prosecution Policy on Shoplifters. But will Prosecute Employees for doing the same. How does this not open them up for civil suits?

I get that they want to prosecute and gather evidence, but wouldn't it be a WAY better business decision to stop the leak ASAP? First time a drawer is short $20-$30 you should review footage and fire. It's not a mom and pop store, they have 3-4 cameras at the registers.

Yall don’t realize Home Depot is a billion dollar company but still only paying employees 13:50hr they wanna stop employee theft give them more pay I worked for them for 3 years and stayed at $14 for 3 years

I worked at the Home Depot and one associate who worked in bookkeeping would pull a $10 bill from every bundle of cash that would be sent to the cashiers. It took a while before it was discovered, thousands later! Talk about a wolf guarding the chickencoop!

I Hate to say it, but never admit to anything. never talk to anybody always ask for an attorney. The first thing police tell you is that you have the right to remain silent and that’s the first thing you should do.

I was at Home Depot today picking up some paint when I saw a migrant women by the spray paint. She was checking the colors of the paint by spray painted on the floor. WTF. To top it off she had four little kids with her. Thes people are animals.
