Orbital flight is mostly a speed problem. To stay up, Starship needs about 7.8 km/s sideways so Earth curves away as fast as the ship falls. Earlier flights tested heat shield and catch; a first payload means finishing the circularization burn, not just arcing home.

It’s the double catch that will be the amazing milestone. Rockets putting stuff into orbit has been the norm for over half a century. A fully recovered launcher & ship has never happened.
