Although this is not a ‘recent’ case, I feel it remains important to share for awareness. In 2019, Aaron Booth forced his way into his ex-partner’s home in Glossop, repeatedly stabbed her in front of police officers, and held a knife to her throat following a sustained and vicious assault. He was jailed for 14 years. Her bravery in coming forward and allowing her story to be shared has helped raise awareness of the devastating reality of domestic abuse and may help protect other women. The judge told her: “You have been brave in the extreme. You have not just protected yourself, you have protected other women.” I completely echo the judge’s words.

On the other hand, this woman insisted that her husband is the one who murdered their daughter, but her claims were dismissed by the Islamic court where a woman's testimony is worth half that of a Muslim man. In order to prove her innocence, she was required to bring 2 witnesses to support her testimony. But apart from her and the abusive husband, no one witnessed the murder. Scientists Reveal a Simple Technique to Communicate With Your Cat | Michelle Starr, ScienceAlert Cats have a reputation for aloofness (and floofiness), but if you and your feline friend aren't bonding, the problem might just be that you're not speaking their language. Never fear – research shows it's easier than you think. All you need to do is smile at them more – cat style. Not in the human way, by showing your teeth, but by narrowing your eyes and blinking slowly. By observing cat-human interactions in 2020, scientists confirmed that this simple gesture makes cats – both familiar and strange – more likely to approach and engage with humans. "As someone who has both studied animal behavior and is a cat owner, it's great to be able to show that cats and humans can communicate in this way," University of Sussex psychologist Karen McComb said when the study was published. "It's something that many cat owners had already suspected, so it's exciting to have found evidence for it." ... If you've spent any time around cats, you've probably seen their 'partially closed eyes' facial expressions, accompanied by slow blinking. It's similar to how human eyes narrow when smiling and usually occurs when the cat is relaxed and content. The expression is interpreted as a kind of cat smile. Anecdotal evidence from cat owners has hinted that humans can copy this expression to communicate to cats that we are friendly and open to interaction. To test that idea, a team of psychologists ran two experiments. The first experiment involved 21 cats from 14 different households. Instead of Dr. Sunil Sookram, Danielle Smith had several choices, including Dr. Rodger Hodkinson, who was right the last five years and proved it when he recently beat the Alberta Collage of Physicians and Surgeons after a three year battle over "misinformation." Dr. Makis finds this inexcusable. I agree. Dr. Rodger Hodkinson call it like he sees it, frankly and honestly. - First do no harm and provide informed consent. - Stood up and took a bullet for all of us. - "It wasn't a pandemic. It was global but it didn't kill enough people." - "Everything that was done failed." - "Long COVID is not due to the persistence of the virus infection. It is due to a vaccine injury." ⚠️THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL KICK STREAMERS⚠️ Kick streamer Nixcky has figured out a way to bypass your Kick login info and gain access to your stream URL & password. He hacked into my stream while I was at work without any notis to my phone for suspicious activity or unrecognized login and streamed gay p*rn without a facecam. And yes I have 2FA enabled. This happened to me today and in the videos below he mentions who he will target for his next victim and you can see and hear him calling fellow friend and Kick streamer ItsJoeyD right after it happened as well as the chat box logs of his chats mentioning the situation. If this could happen to me and the victim mentioned in the video below I have reason to believe they could do this to any Kick streamer. This is now a serious issue for not only me but for all Kick streamers and Kick as a whole. This needs to be addressed.
