Cameron Young is playing with a golf ball that would allegedly be compliant with the new roll back rules that will come into effect in a few years time. He was asked about it ahead of the PGA Championship and he says every player in the game is sacrificing distance for control, and he put it in play at the Wyndham last year which he won. “I think I put it in play the same reason that everybody else plays the ball that they play. I hit it during a ball test, one of the Titleist facilities probably close to two years ago and didn't know anything about it and just kind of say, hey, what's that one? Because I liked the flight. “Then as things progressed, I was able to test it last year at Wyndham, able to put that in play, and it's been there since. “Obviously there is no conforming list. I wasn't aware that it would have -- I suppose I read something that said it passed that test, but I wasn't aware of that until very recently. “So at no point was that a consideration. It was just really me trying to optimize my golf, and it's the ball that seems to work the best for me.” He then was asked whether he lost distance with it compared to other balls he’s tested: “Not particularly. I don't think any of us are out really here playing the ball that goes the farthest. I think you'd struggle to find a single person that's doing that. We're all sacrificing a certain amount of things that we feel are worth it, control with irons, control with wedges. For me, that's the biggest thing is being able to control spin, and this is the ball that does the best for me.” Finally he can as asked whether this ball goes further than the one he was using: “No, I hit very similar, yeah. It's much more -- the driver is kind of the easiest thing to deal with, I feel like. For me to get it where it needed to be, I had to just add a little bit of spin, and it kind of comes out at a perfectly playable range. “For me, the biggest thing, like I said, is the irons. This ball is easier to control with the irons. Many of us know this already but how do we get the sheep to understand and see what they are actually doing in their efforts of trying to take control? This video points out what they are doing and is straight to the point. Step one: train the people only to consume. Step two: infiltrate the adults on the news. Step three: indoctrinate the children through the schools and the music and the apps on the phones that they use. Step four: separate the right from the left. Step five: separate the white from the black. Step six: separate the rich from the poor. Use religion and equality to separate them more. Step seven: fabricate a problem made of lies. Step eight: put it on the news every night. Step nine: when people start to fight and divide take control, this is called situational design.

✨ Added a CRT curvature distortion to pieter™ now It takes the Em-DOSBox and processes it in WebGL and builds a new with the distortion of a classic CRT screen which had this convex curvature (like an old TV) even though the screen itself was square I had this working on DOSBox on MacOS and on Linux with CRT-Pi shader, but on web it doesn't support shaders so I had to build my own with Claude Code in JS, very easy I remember trying this a year ago and Claude Code fucked it up so bad that I gave up, so I think the models have improved a lot Tomorrow I'll try add some scanlines, it really helps make the simulation more passable (and nostalgic!) 😊👌

Harry Higgs' post-round presser was so good. The Big Rig was the last man in the field, has just one top 20 between the KFT and PGA Tour this year and is firmly in the mix heading into the weekend at the U.S. Open. "For the first time in a while I truly thought that, like, yeah, I can do this. This is Friday. Who knows? I'm sure it's going to be harder tomorrow, and I'm sure it's going to be even harder Sunday. "I haven't had that feeling in a while. I would love to recreate it over the next two days, and if I don't, I'm just going to try my damnedest and see what happens."
