British schools meals were given a massive revamp about 10yrs ago by Jamie Oliver because kids were eating crap but still never as bad as that muck the US serves up 🤢

I don't know if there's any specific name for pork gravy, you probably see it in the school's menu. A direct translation is "sianlihakastike" which should be perfectly understood.

@joni_askola We used to have really good lunches in the cafeteria when I was a kid all made by the ladies in the kitchen. I used to like the hamburger gravy and mashed potatoes.

Why would anyone be mad that it's all on the same plate? It's all going to be mush in your stomach anyway.

This looks amazing. We don't have school lunches in schools in 🇦🇺. In kinder, my kids had something similar (+soup!), but not at school - parents have to pack lunches. School canteen serves vegemite toasties, apples, sushi rolls, fruit salad and the like.

Honestly, Finnish cuisine is one of the worst I've experienced, second only to Polish cuisine, which is a true abomination...

I heard from my best friend that his gf's high school not only had a fucking barista but had teriyaki every day. We only got teriyaki like.. once a week maybe? Not sure how bad things have gone down hill since then though.

Well everything in the same plate is a red alarm to me. Sorry dear. And vegetable or potatoes, not both. Otherwise it's nice.

Ok, it's probably very nutritious but the presentation get 2/10. I can't speak for the taste but having tried similar I haven't got high hopes. The rye bread at the end is a acquired taste. Good effort but doesn't get a top grade. B (-)
