That's a phrase I've not heard before, but I will be using in the future 😅

Here’s what could get more expensive with Trump’s new tariffs.

Th USA currently has a 'special relationship' with: Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, the Republic of Ireland, Canada & Mexico as well as the UK. So it isn't really that special is it.

Bonnie Greer’s reaction! 😂

💯

@BorisJohnson promised a US trade deal, it was never offered. @Keir_Starmer stands no more chance. It’s about time the UK government valued its European trading relationships properly.

The Tory government promised a free trade deal with America, it didn’t happen under Trump or Biden. Anyone who thinks we have a special relationship is delusional.

Delusional. If Vickers thinks we can get some kind of special exemption from the economic damage Trump's policies will create, I have some Farage snake oil to sell him.

We may have to give up our sovereignty to American business interests. Keep an eye on the freeports.

So basically the Tory MP is demanding Labour do what the Tories failed to do btw 2016-20?

He obviously didn't read the notes Truss left after she decided a deal with US was impossible. Their trade negotiators are pretty mean people Basically you get everything they want and pretty much very little of what you want whilst running rings round you

And the price of that free trade will be a withdrawal of support for Ukraine, and a stepping down of our renewal of our relationship with the EU. Farage will be egging Trump on for that, and it is vital that Starmer resists it. We must stand with Europe and NATO.
