Th USA currently has a 'special relationship' with: Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, the Republic of Ireland, Canada & Mexico as well as the UK. So it isn't really that special is it.

@BorisJohnson promised a US trade deal, it was never offered. @Keir_Starmer stands no more chance. It’s about time the UK government valued its European trading relationships properly.

And the price of that free trade will be a withdrawal of support for Ukraine, and a stepping down of our renewal of our relationship with the EU. Farage will be egging Trump on for that, and it is vital that Starmer resists it. We must stand with Europe and NATO.
