the backgrounds are the real hero here! James Gurney and Thomas Kinkade hand painted these scenes

Say what you want about this movie; and there are some problems; but with the legendary Frank Frazetta working alongside Ralph Bakshi we got a classic 80’s fantasy movie Even a good portion of the rotoscoping has aged like fine wine Also Darkwolf is the GOAT

I remember fire & ice 👇

@ralphbakshi direct this #animation brilliant! 👏👏👏 Nothing beat hand draw 2D animation!

Getting a 4k release this year.

The 80s were so gay

@razorfist Don't forget how awesome Fire & Ice is.

A good movie that suffered from plot holes and a bad script

rotoscoping is damn cool

I think I should start watching these series

Larn in a manthong loincloth 😍😍😍😍 Seriously great sexually charged movie while also a adventure amazing action and feel to this movie

That movie is amazing!

My first fantasy in life

Rotoscoping takes an absolute age but the results are often worth it

Ralph Bakshi,Yüzüklerin Efendisi'nin yönetmeni, oyuncuların hareketlerinin üzerine çizim yapılmasına dayanan "rotoskop" tekniğiyle,Buz Çağı'nın sonunda, kötü bir kraliçe ve oğlunun buz büyülerini kullanarak dünyayı ele geçirme çabası ve onlara karşı savaşan kahramanlar..

@frazettagirls The infrequent rattle of the bones while it speaks…

A film that is on my need to watch list

Is this real?

This looks amazing, how has our animation gotten worse

Bakshi, the director of The Lord of the Rings, used the rotoscope technique, which involves drawing over the movements of actors, to depict the end of the Ice Age, where an evil queen and her son attempt to conquer the world using ice magic, and the heroes who fight against them.

Slow-mo Spear in the cave scene please!

Condom scoff, I’m Trojan c:

Never cared much for Bakshi, though I do respect his attempt to retrieve animation from kiddie movie status. I never found the massive use of rotoscoping effective or attractive.
