Iceman didn’t beat the fire,he beat the man controlling it. That’s the real difference.

Wow. This is great 👍

My biggest problem with pyro’s powers is in Deadpool and Wolverine. He was able to take all the fire from Johnny Storm? That makes no sense since Johnny can go super nova! I would think if this really happened pyro should of exploded like Bishop in days of future’s past movie.

Yeah, that scene always bugged me too. Johnny going full supernova is basically a star-level heat dump, and Pyro just yeets the entire flame off him like it’s a birthday candle. If we’re going by Days of Future Past logic, Bishop would’ve been cooking from the inside trying to hold that much energy.

In days of futures past, Bishop died bc of the sentinels out putting that energy on to him . So by that logic pyro should of died as well unless Johnny Storm just wanted to give up?

@moviebox247 Also Pyro doesn't have to absorb the fire to control it, bishop has to absorb the energy to convert it. So like a filament in a bulb Bishop got over heated, I hope that helps

@moviebox247 I know he doesn’t have to absorb but he was in Deadpool and Wolverine. It still just doesn’t make sense to me.

Because manipulating fire isn’t the same as generating it. And iceman is an omega level mutant. Pyro isn’t on that level

Good point there

Iceman was originally envisioned as a guy who turns snowy and makes things cold. Then the writers realized he’s got the ability to transform himself into a sentient amorphous gaseous being that can control entropy and propel himself anywhere across dimensions.

Exactly. Classic Iceman was just a snowman with ice slides. Modern comics turned him into an Omega-level thermodynamic god who can exist as sentient vapor, drop things to absolute zero, and rewrite entropy itself.

He’s powerful but he holds back a lot

Maybe that's his weak point

Because that is why

I don’t get you

Fire does not beat ice. The environmeant determines which wins. And understanding thier power set is why Iceman overpowers pyro with ease. Pyro manipulate existing fire (he can’t make it on his own) Iceman makes ice out of the molecules in the environment.

Because raw power isn't everything. Pyro controls existing fire, but Iceman's Omega-level abilities let him overwhelm the battlefield, leaving Pyro with nothing to work with. ❄️🔥

Because everything doesn't follow pokemon ruleset :)

Pyro only controls fire while Iceman makes ice and cold thats how.

It's clear to me now

Ice can quench a fire, so it's logical

Fire can destroy ice too 🤔

Honestly I used to think the same. Iceman just overwhelmed the guy controlling the fire before it could really take hold. Skill and volume beat the element matchup every time.

By doing the thing in the clip.

Isn’t he considered like an Omega type power mutant? I thought pyro couldn’t actually create fire but had to have something around him to actually start the fire. Definitely could be wrong though.

Ice freezes the controller, not the flames. Pyro’s cooked the second the air hits absolute zero 😂

pyro is the manipulation of thermal waves. the ability to control fire. iceman it the manipulation of thermal kinetic bonds between atoms... while one bends fire to his will they other is control what state the matter is in... pryo has control of fire that something else created iceman stops the atomic movement making ignition impossible.

Iceman didn’t win by “fire vs ice” logic he just froze the dude before Pyro could properly cook.

Iceman is a Omega level mutant. He has ultimate control over his powers. The fuel he needs is all around him and in infinite supply. Pyro never had a chance.

Iceman (yeah, not in the movies YET.) is an Omega Level Mutant. Pyro needs a fire source.

These movies are garbage, all of em.

Ice beats fire actually He froze his hand he couldn’t do anything

The irony of iceman of this lol

Pyro was an arrogant asshole who thought he was the shit. Iceman was holding back his full power until he got pushed too far

I’m gonna use power scaling for this. From what I heard, Iceman is an Omega-level Mutant capable of causing an ice age.

Bobby creates his own ice, by drawing water from the surrounding and can reach temperatures of zero Kelvin. Pyro can control ALREADY LIT fire. Not create it, basically if you stop the fuel source for his fire OR outlast his fuel he's toast. Pyro isn't Firestar or Sunfire

there is no such thing as fire beats ice this aint pokemon. temperature power users is a battle of who can make and maintain better foothold of the drastic difference of temperatures.

@Babsphemii Omo nah watin they want make Una see, so nah watin Una see oooo 😂😂🔥🔥

@Babsphemii lol 😂

Because Iceman controls the cold itself not just ice. His powers directly counter and suppress Pyro's flames, giving him the advantage.

the answer is plot armor + Iceman is the good guys side

Iceman just overwhelmed the guy controlling the fire before it could really take hold.

Because Iceman doesn’t fight fire, he lowers the entire battlefield to absolute zero. Thermodynamics > elemental rock-paper-scissors.

Pyro didn't create his own fire. Iceman create his own ice

TBH fella the plot twist is still complicated to me 😮🙄

Heat only affects the outer layers of ice. That’s why it takes so long for it to melt. Plus, these two are nowhere near the same power level. Pyro can make only orange flames, ice man could start the next ice age.
