Wildfire response starts long before a fire begins. In Boise, Idaho, Secretary Doug Burgum and I met with the men and women on the front lines to discuss how we strengthen prevention, improve forest health, reduce hazardous fuels, strategically stage aviation assets, and ensure our firefighters have the resources they need. As part of that effort, USDA and DOI are accelerating and improving fire prevention techniques to make our forests safer and less susceptible to uncontrolled wildfires through mechanical thinning, prescribed fire, and active forest management. These proactive steps support the more than 30,000 federal firefighters, 400+ aircraft, and all our state and local partners working to protect communities across the country. Under President Donald J. Trump, Dept. of Agriculture, US Department of the Interior, and USDA Forest Service are working together to keep communities safe, protect our firefighters, and put fires out quickly. Israel has been killing Palestinians all this while. They are citizens, they are not soldiers. They go to Jenin for example, and shoot people. Even today we see reports about them killing civilians. So how is Hamas going to distinguish between soldiers and civilians when they have no proper army with intelligence and all that to distinguish thier targets. In any case if Israelis are killing civilians, you cannot blame Hamas for doing the same. UPDATE- FIRE CONTAINED Early this morning, shortly after 3:00 AM, San Francisco firefighters responded to a fire at 50 Golden Gate, a six-story multi-residential complex located in the Tenderloin District. The firefighters executed an impressive and aggressive attack on the fire, which originated on the sixth floor, successfully preventing it from spreading to the lower floors and nearby buildings. The fire quickly escalated to a three-alarm incident, affecting the sixth floor, attic, and roof of the building. During the initial response, multiple occupants were rescued, and notably, two cats were saved during the second alarm phase. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Over 100 firefighters, more than 50 fire apparatus, police officers, and additional city services responded to the scene. Firefighters faced challenges due to the building's old construction, which included multiple light wells, lath and plaster construction, and heavy fire conditions on the upper floors. This incident exemplified traditional, aggressive firefighting tactics, which ultimately contained the fire within the structure. Currently, 45 residents have been temporarily displaced and are being accommodated on-site in an SFMTA bus. This number is subject to change. The fire was contained by 5:30 AM, and the American Red Cross has been called in to assist. Today we returned to Aleppo and opened a free mobile vet clinic for the animals of Aleppo and distributed some dry food. A lot of animals are suffering from long term injuries, for which they had no possibility of veterinary treatment. Some patients came with diarrhea, some with disabilities and some with various types of diseases. We cared for all of them for free. Aleppo ‘s people are famous in Syria because they love cats and they are cats owners of many different breeds of cats. It's normal to see very fancy cats in many homes. We want to send thanks to WTG Welttierschutzgesellschaft e.V for their support of the Free Clinic and vet team in Idlib.

What happens when a wildfire outgrows a local response? When a wildfire grows large or becomes more complex, the local agency in charge may request support from a CAL FIRE Incident Management Team (IMT). So far this year, CAL FIRE IMTs have been activated 4 times to help manage complex incidents. The IMT steps in to take over the day-to-day management of the wildfire, coordinating personnel, aircraft, equipment, safety, and logistics from the agencies working together on the incident. This helps ensure the response stays organized while also allowing the local agency to keep its resources available for other emergencies, fires, and medical calls in its area. IMTs are made up of experienced firefighters and support staff who specialize in managing large, complex incidents and work together to keep the wildfire response coordinated, safe, and moving forward. #IncidentManagementTeams #CALFIRE #CaliforniaWildfires

Charlotte Fire Responds to Three-Alarm Fire on East Morehead Street This morning, Charlotte Fire responded to a significant fire at a building located in the 300 block of East Morehead Street. At 7:47 a.m., Charlotte Fire Comms Charlotte Fire Alarm received a report of heavy smoke at the address. Firefighters were immediately dispatched, with the first unit en route by 7:48 a.m. At 7:51 a.m., Ladder 4, Engine 11, Engine 4, and Engine 2 arrived on scene. Engine 2 assumed initial command of the incident. Upon arrival, Ladder 4 reported heavy fire conditions in the basement of the structure. Additional fire apparatus were dispatched to support the response. By 8:04 a.m., a roof collapse was imminent, and at 8:30 a.m., the structural integrity of the walls was also compromised. A third alarm was struck at 8:42 a.m., bringing additional resources to the scene. After an intense firefighting operation, the fire was brought under control at 10:23 a.m. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. “The dedication and quick action of our firefighters prevented what could have been a far worse outcome,” said Charlotte Fire Chief Reginald Johnson. “Their ability to make decisive, tactical decisions under extreme conditions speaks to their training and professionalism. I’m incredibly proud of their commitment to protecting our city.” The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force is actively working to determine the cause of the fire. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

We can't even send, we have no aircraft in the Mediterranean, none in the, you know, through the Suez Canal and down in the Persian Gulf area. We always had minesweepers based in Bahrain, and they would have been very helpful to have right now, wouldn't they, with the Straits of Hormuz and what's going on down there. We've none now. I think all of us who have some public responsibility need to stand with the students and understand the kind of difficulty and suffering they are going through. Every paper is leaked, and they are under pressure to perform. Their parents are taking loans to educate them and are suffering financially to support their education. Yet there is no outcome. So, it's a deep systemic problem. We all need to work together to resolve it. The issue of paper leaks is not happening in just one exam; it's happening in every single exam. We all really need to stand with them, show them support, and bring about change. : Congress General Secretary & MP Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ji on LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi's campaign to address problems faced by students & his visit to Kota for a student convention.
