While working in the maternity ward at Columbia-Presbyterian, Apgar watched something that broke her heart. Today seemed, IMO, to be a significant statement practice for Jacob Cowing. He grabbed one of Brock Purdy's numerous (perfect) deep passes but it goes deeper than that. HIGHLIGHTS: 🏈A few minutes earlier, Cowing and Marques Sigle collided on a deep corner attempt. Cowing was down for a while and limped off — it even looked like his day might be over. But Cowing returned and made the best catch I've seen from him in a 49ers uniform on a 40-yard laser over the middle. The resilience there definitely counts for something, especially considering Cowing's early-career availability issues 🏈Nick Bosa sighting! Did some running on the field while the 49ers were practicing for the first time in a couple weeks. Looked good. CMC (tightness) later watched team drills in person 🏈Keion White (adductor) popped the sled during practice, a good sign of progress 🏈Purdy's top-notch camp continues. A CLARION CALL TO DUTY 🚨‼️🚨‼️🚨‼️🚨‼️🚨‼️ Dear Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai First of all let me express my sincere condolences to you over the demise of our father Baba Buhari as we continue to pray that Allah in His infinite wisdom forgive all his shortcomings and grant him Aljanna Firdaus 🙏 It is with deep sense of responsibility that I write this short request to you as a core Buharist and as someone that has always admired your courage and your love for Nigeria The mantle of leadership of the Buharists has naturally fallen on your shoulders, you must as a matter of urgency galvanize/mobilize the base of Baba Buhari across Nigeria as our new leader This is without prejudice to other senior Buharists across the length and breadth of this great country, in the South South, South East and South West A huge vacuum has been created following the demise of Baba Buhari and nature they say abhors a vacuum All authentic Buharists of all ages, religion and gender, at home and in diaspora are craving for a new leader, that is a huge section of the Nigerian population Like Baba Buhari you are never going to be loved by those who didn’t love him but like the legend you will overcome them In fact you have already inherited all the insults directed towards PMB before his death despite your role in making Tinubu the president of Nigeria Having said that, you should also take consolation in the fact that despite the hatred towards Baba Buhari from a particular section of the population many patriots in the SW, SS, SE still showed him some love I am 100% sure there are also a large numbers of authentic Buharists and patriotic Nigerians in the SS,SW & SE that acknowledge your contribution to the development of Nigeria On the important question of who will lead the North, we will cross the bridge when we get there, there is surely a generational shift following the death of Baba Buhari, again this is without prejudice to all our leaders in the North Before entering politics and public service you’ve had a very successful career in the private sector as a Quantity Surveyor and you also did great stuffs in other areas Meaning you had and still have address outside politics You attended the prestigious Barewa College Zaria, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Harvard University, Georgetown University, University of London among others based on public records In the public service space your records are unmatched among your peers and among older generation of politicians from the North to the South Governor of Kaduna State 8 years, FCT Minister 4 years, DG Bureau of Public Enterprises, economic advisor to General Abdulsalami Abubakar for the president’s think tank of technocrats to decouple/demilitarize public administration in 1998 among so many other positions that you have held You’ve had huge influence in the formation of political parties among which is APC Nigeria that dislodged a sitting government in 2015 These are huge achievements and I can say boldly you represent that change/break many Northerners and Nigerians so urgently desire You are more than qualified to lead Buharists, Northern Nigeria and indeed Nigeria at this point in time We have no regrets being Buharists and somehow me must institutionalize the ideologies and philosophies of Baba Buhari for the future generations
