My mom and i were in Toronto in 2003 when a blackout cut all the power for nearly a day. Trying to cross Yonge St. with no lights was an interesting experience, though surprisingly it was actually quite orderly. Lots of pedestrians probably kept drivers in line while crossing.

Is that why traffic is backed up on Main Street?
