🇹🇷 Darius Carutasu had a great game against Slovenia in the EBBG 2024. Stats: 30 MIN | 24 PTS | 4/5 2PT | 3/9 3PT | 7/9 FT | 8 REB | 3 AST | 2 STL | 2 BLK | 1 TO | 29 EFF | +17 2009-born 6'7" guard/forward has a truly incredible wingspan and uses it well, especially on defense with his stocks. Good finisher in the paint. Active on the rebound. Has a good shooter potential. Ineffective in the first half after picking up 2 fouls in 2 minutes. Great in the second half. Scored big points in the 4QT and hit a clutch three in overtime. 📹: FRB TV / YouTube

‼️🚨🔵PRESSER🔵🚨‼️ 🎙 Enzo Maresca’s Full Post-Newcastle United Press Conference 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Chelsea’s performance: “After the first-half, they deserved to win the game, for sure, but after the second-half, we deserved to win the game. After the second goal was scored, we had three or four chances to win it.” ⚖️⚽ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on why the first-half was so bad: “The key for me was the goal we conceded. After three minutes, you concede a goal and the game goes in the direction they want 😓. We scored twice in the second-half and could have scored more goals. We adjusted something at half-time 🔄. It’s not easy to come back in this stadium.” 🏟️ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on James impact: “He was, once again, top performance 👏🏽. He played for an hour as a midfielder and for the last half an hour, he was as a full-back. We are happy for him.” 🔵💪🏽 🔹 Enzo Maresca on what he learned from this week: “We won against Everton, achieved a semi-final and drew with Newcastle which is always an important result. I’m happy with the reaction from the players.” 😊📈 🔹 Enzo Maresca on if they need experience at St. James’ Park: “Yeah, for sure, because they know better how to manage that sort of noise.” 🔊🏟️ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on second-half character: “For sure, in the first-half, there are things we can do better, but the character and togetherness in the second-half 💪🏽. It’s not easy with this noise and environment. Not many teams can do that.” 🔥 🔹 Enzo Maresca on if this shows the players are with him: “My last week has been good. We beat Everton, beat Cardiff and drew with Newcastle. In terms of results I’m happy.” 👍🏽🔵 🔹 Enzo Maresca on half-time team talk: “I could see from the bench that the plan we prepared was the right one 🎯. My message at half-time was to continue doing what we’re doing.” 🗣️ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on why he was booked: “I was complaining because the same foul was a yellow card for us 🟨 and they did exactly the same foul three or four times but it was no yellow card. So I asked the question and complained to the referee.” 🤦🏽‍♂️⚖️ #CFC | #Chelsea | #NEWCHE | #Interviews 📲 CFC_ChelseaFC via Telegram 📹 MightyBluesNews via Youtube

Ft Aston Villa 1 v 2 Spurs Oh Robert De Zerbi 🔥🔥get in there 👊🏼 What an unbelievable win it’s in our hands now and we are out of the relegation zone. That first half of football that was! The best this season, I think. We got in their faces from the off, pressing them relentlessly. De Zerbi’s ball was there for all to see: 50/50s and 2nd balls. Gallagher’s strike to put us one up was superb. Palhinha hit the post with another great shot shortly after. We were all over them. Martinez pulled off a great save to stop them going 2-0 before Richarlison put in our second. The scenes in the away end were amazing he is ready for the battle as always. Bentancur, Palhinha, and Gallagher were controlling the midfield with Destiny getting forward well Tel needed to be a bit calmer on his final ball. At HT we had 8 shots 4 on target to their none Palhinha was like an animal in the second half pressing tackle just unbelievable with Bentancur and Gallagher working so hard. Kinsky’s ball control and distribution was so good. MVDV had to make a couple of crucial tackles but we were very comfortable. I felt like I was watching a football team tonight Leeds next #COYS 🤍💙

🗣️ Interviewer: What can you say about five winless games in a row for Miami? 😶 🗣️ Messi: Honestly, I can’t explain why we’ve been performing so poorly recently. We’re giving our best and trying to make an impact on the pitch, but the results just aren’t coming our way. A team like Miami is expected to perform at a much higher level and give everything on the pitch. But right now, our best isn’t enough—we have to do more. Today, we played well in the first half, but in the second half, we lost focus and conceded two goals. I managed to pull one back, but unfortunately, it was too late to find the equalizer. My teammates need to step up. Our midfield and defense have to run more, fight harder, and stay focused for the full 90 minutes. Hopefully, Casemiro can give us the experience and strength we need to turn things around. We know this isn’t good enough for Miami, and we have to change it. 🔥⚽ #lionelmessi #intermiami #toronto #casemiro #mls

🚨🎥 Full post-match interview with Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire after the 5-2 victory over Ipswich Town! 🔴🔥 • Reaction after the disappointing opening game! • Regaining control and showing courage in the second half! • Bruno’s third hat-trick at Old Trafford! 🎩 🎙️ Interviewer: “Congratulations on the win. It looks like a very big victory and your first of the season. How are you feeling?” 🗣️ Bruno Fernandes: “It was definitely a very important and big win for us. We knew we had dropped three points last week, so the aim was to get the three points and put in a great performance for our fans at home in our first game here for a long time. We can’t make up for last week because you can’t get six points from one game, but we wanted to start the game on the front foot and with intensity. We controlled the game even when we conceded, and in the second half we were really excellent.” 🎙️ Interviewer: “The game felt like a real statement of the team’s strength. Harry, what did the team do particularly well?” 🗣️ Harry Maguire: “I think we started the game really well, but their goal unsettled us a lot. Last week’s defeat was difficult, and when you lose at this club, there’s a lot of noise and it feels like you’re in a crisis again after just one game! After conceding, we lost control for five to ten minutes, but we spoke at half-time, came out and took control again. We know we’re capable of scoring at any moment, and we showed that today. We could have scored even more goals.” 🎙️ Interviewer: “Bruno, how important was your equaliser right before half-time in maintaining that belief?” 🗣️ Bruno Fernandes: “Scoring before half-time is always important, whether it’s to take the lead or to equalise, because it gives you the belief that what you were doing wasn’t completely wrong. As Harry said, we were controlling the game and lost control for five to ten minutes after the goal, but we got back on track. In the second half, after making a few adjustments, we were really excellent.” 🎙️ Interviewer: “Harry, you were involved in the second goal, and there was some debate over whether it was your goal or a handball. What do you think happened?” 🗣️ Harry Maguire: “To be honest, I haven’t watched the replay, so I can’t comment accurately. I know it was a close call, and it certainly wasn’t an intentional handball. I don’t know if the ball actually hit my fingers. My shot was slightly off target, so I think it will unfortunately be given as an own goal! Maybe that’s why it was awarded, because if it had been my goal, they would have ruled it out under the current rules. Luckily, luck was on our side today, and we deserved the win and deserved that bit of fortune.” 🎙️ Interviewer: “Bruno, this is your third hat-trick in a Manchester United shirt. How amazing does it feel?” 🗣️ Bruno Fernandes: “Scoring goals is definitely the best feeling in football, and scoring a hat-trick at Old Trafford in front of our fans is incredible. I’m very proud of it. But the most important thing is always to score to help the team win. I did that today, and hopefully I can score more and help my teammates score as well.” 🎙️ Interviewer: “How important is a result like this as a response to what happened on the opening day?” 🗣️ Harry Maguire: “It’s a very important win. Last week was frustrating; we had prepared throughout pre-season to win against Hull City, but unfortunately we conceded two goals from set pieces and lost. We knew how important today’s game was in front of our fans after being away from Old Trafford for such a long time, and luckily we got the three points. In the end, it’s three points and we move forward. The season is long, and we’ll focus on the next game.” 🎙️ Interviewer: “Harry, would you like to present the award? Bruno is the Player of the Match.” 🗣️ Harry Maguire (jokingly handing over the award): “Another award!” 🏆😅 🗣️ Bruno Fernandes: “Thank you very much, mate.” 🤝❤️

FT Spurs 2 -2 Man City. What a game this was! How many thought that at HT ? We came into this game with such little hope because of our injuries, and that was realised very quickly. Talk about a game of 2 halves! Nobody can doubt the commitment in pulling it back level . Early doors, Vicario had to save well from Semenyo. Cherki started to terrorise a clearly not match-fit Dragusin, scoring the first and making Vic pull off a brilliant save. Bissouma looked like he was back on the ball with his distribution. Again, another mistake playing out from the back cost us a second. Rodri and Silva controlled the half if only our special guest Vertonghen could play for us today. Romero off at HT injury ? We changed formation to a back 4 and pushed forward. A sublime pass by Simons set up Solanke to score, but Guehi got there first. Simons looked very good in this half, demanding the ball and using it well. Palhinha was immense at the back made some fantastic interceptions to keep us in it. Solanke’s scorpion kick! Wow, what a goal seriously 🔥🔥 City started to lose their heads. Our boys believed they could win this. Great second-hand fight back. Very Proud of the players today.

Let me state up front that these two plays were NOT the reason St. John's lost yesterday. And I am a numbers guy so no need to tell me about our shooting stats in the game. But I need to vent. We knew Arkansas over their prior 8 games was making a concerted effort to get to the free throw line - they averaged 26.5 free throws over this 8 game period. In the 10 games prior to this 8 game period, Arkansas averaged 19.3 free throws attempts per game - right in line with D1 average per game. The coaching staff gave a clear direction to our players prior to the game - wall up with your hands in the air and maintain verticality. I am including two clips here of just that in which the Arkansas player initiated contact, Zuby and Kadary went straight up with their hands in the air, and Arkansas was rewarded with two trips to the free throw line. In the first clip, St. John's had a 4 point lead with 2 minutes to go in the first half with momentum as Arkansas hadn't made a field goal in 3 minutes. Zuby does exactly what he was instructed when Boogie Fland initiated contact and the baseline ref who is 6 feet away from the action does not blow his whistle, but another ref does award Boogie Fland two free throws. That started a 7-0 run for Arkansas and they went into the half with a 3 point lead. I can't provide enough words on the second clip on just how unjust it was to have a late whistle call on Kadary going straight up in the air and getting his fifth foul called on him with 6:28 to play. Kadary was limited to just 16 minutes of play in the entire game because of foul trouble. And as a reminder, I will end this post with how I started it. These two plays were NOT the reason St. John's lost yesterday.

This is Gastrin, a Bronze Age Cretan (Minoan) dessert that the Turks discovered thousands of years later, stuck a few thinner layers of pastry in between, called baklava, and then unashamedly claimed as their own invention. Gastrin dates back to the Minoan Period, making it at the very least 3,500 years old, and is considered the ancestor of baklava for obvious reasons. To this very day, it is still prepared in Crete for holidays, festivals, or as a specialty dessert. Want to make your own Gastrin? This is how: Ingredients: 1 packet of pastry 180g Butter, melted For the filling: 300 grams roughly ground hazelnuts 300 grams roasted and coarsely ground almonds 300 grams coarsely ground walnuts 100 grams of poppy seeds 100 grams roasted sesame seeds 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup honey For the syrup: 1/4 cup petimezi (grape molasses) 1/2 cup water 1 cup honey 2 tbsps lemon juice 1) Combine all the ground nuts, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, pepper, and honey. Mix well until it holds together slightly. Divide into two equal portions. 2) Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F (moderate heat). 3) Oil or butter a baking pan. Place the first dough sheetin the pan. Spread half the filling evenly. Add the second sheet and the remaining filling. Top with the third sheet. 4) Brush the top with melted butter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if you want. 5) Score into diamond or square shapes with a sharp knife (do not cut all the way through yet). 6) Bake for 30–45 minutes until golden brown. 7) While baking, combine water, honey, petimezi, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer 5–10 minutes until slightly thickened. Let it cool slightly. 8) When the gastrin comes out of the oven, let it cool for 5–10 minutes, then pour the warm syrup evenly over the hot pastry. It will sizzle and soak in. Allow it to fully absorb (ideally for a few hours or overnight) before serving.

This is Gastrin, a Bronze Age Cretan (Minoan) dessert that the Turks discovered thousands of years later, stuck a few thinner layers of pastry in between, called baklava, and then unashamedly claimed as their own invention. 🚨🎥 Full post-match interview with Martin Odegaard and Ezri Konsa after Arsenal won against Chelsea ! 🎙️ Presenter (to Konsa): “You went a goal down, but to be fair, the team’s reaction was exceptional?” 🗣️ Ezri Konsa: “Yeah, that’s football. These things happen all the time, and the most important thing is how you react and respond. As you know, we put a lot of emphasis on keeping clean sheets here, so conceding was disappointing. But like I said, our reaction was brilliant, and ultimately, the most important thing is getting the three points.” 🎙️ Presenter (to Odegaard): “There was no let-up from the team after going behind, Martin. Was that simply a reaction to the circumstances of the game, or are we seeing that champions’ mentality from last season adding another dimension to what you’re doing?” 🗣️ Martin Odegaard: “That’s our mentality. We always want to keep fighting, and we’ve shown that time and time again. Going a goal down early is obviously not ideal, but the reaction was top-class, as you said. I think we played really well in the first half and could have scored more. We kept going in the second half until we finally got our reward. It was a really, really good performance.” 🎙️ Presenter: “There was a lot of talk before the game about the strength of their attack. If you were in your position, or Saka’s or Havertz’s, you might have felt a little provoked by that. Did you feel you had something to prove today?” 🗣️ Martin Odegaard: “No, not really. To be honest, I didn’t really follow what was being said before the game. But I think we showed our quality today, both with the ball and without it, and the result clearly reflects that.” 🎙️ Presenter: “That’s three goals for you already this season. How much did you enjoy that goal and that almost telepathic understanding between you and Kai Havertz? Is that something you work on?” 🗣️ Martin Odegaard: “Kai is a very intelligent player. He moves really well and attracts the defenders’ attention. When he makes that run in behind, I make my move from deep and I always seem to find myself in space. It was a great goal, and I’m really happy with it.” 🎙️ Presenter: “Why are you smiling like that?” 🗣️ Ezri Konsa (laughing): “I’m always smiling. I’m just a happy person, literally!” 😂 🎙️ Presenter: “To be fair, Martin scored the winning goal, but I don’t think his goal was the moment that got the biggest cheer today. What about that huge challenge on your former teammate? When you start at a new club, you’re looking for a moment like that, aren’t you?” 🗣️ Ezri Konsa: “Yeah, definitely. That moment really got the fans going. It’s one of those challenges where, if you get the timing wrong, it can be disastrous, but when you get it right, the feeling is always amazing. In the second half, we could have controlled the game a bit more, but like Martin said, we were excellent defensively and offensively, created chances, and on another day we could have scored three or four goals.” 🎙️ Presenter: “At what point, after Morgan Rogers’ touch, did you feel you could win the ball from him?” 🗣️ Ezri Konsa: “I felt his first touch was slightly heavy, and I was a bit unsure and hesitant. But I told myself, ‘If I’m going to make the challenge, I’m going all in.’ And that’s exactly what I did!” 🎙️ Presenter: “You certainly did go all in! And now, can you hand over this award with the same amount of energy? The Player of the Match award goes to Martin Odegaard.” 🗣️ Martin Odegaard (laughing as he receives the award): “Yeah, I’ll definitely take that! Thank you!” 🏆😂

India Is Building Stronger Roads from Farm Waste 🔥🛣️ India imports nearly half the bitumen used to build its roads. Now it has a home-grown alternative that is proving just as strong, and in some cases stronger. Indian scientists have developed bio-bitumen, known as Krishi Bind, made from agricultural waste like rice straw. When blended with conventional bitumen, it has matched and, in laboratory tests, even exceeded the strength and durability of regular road binders. Bio-bitumen is produced through pyrolysis, a clean process that converts crop residue into bio-oil without burning or smoke. This material is then blended into road surfaces that are already being laid on pilot stretches of national highways. India is the first country to produce bio-bitumen commercially for roads. Early field performance shows good resistance to heat, moisture and wear, while long-term monitoring continues. The result is simple: roads that last, fewer oil imports, cleaner air and farm waste turned into value. This is not symbolism. It is durable infrastructure built from what was once burned.

VIDEO | Pune: NSA Ajit Doval receives Lokmanya Tilak National Award 2026. Speaking on the occasion, he says, "I share a small connection with Pune. About 76 years ago, I came to this city when my father was posted here with the Army. Perhaps very few people in this hall today would have been in Pune before that time. When I arrived, I began my schooling here. I stayed in Pune for about a year to a year and a half before my father was transferred to the Army Headquarters in Delhi. I have forgotten many things from that period, but two memories remain vivid. The first is that every Tuesday my mother would take me to the Chaturshringi Temple. There, a thick, sweet traditional bread would be offered to the goddess along with other offerings. After returning home, we would eat the prasad, which I enjoyed very much. My mother had deep faith in the temple. The second memory is from my school, where it was customary to hold an assembly after the morning prayer. During the assembly, a senior teacher would speak for 10 to 15 minutes on topics such as morality, the lives of great personalities, the duties of students, or other inspiring subjects. One of our Hindi teachers, who was an excellent speaker, delivered a lecture on the life of Bal Gangadhar Tilak. That was my first introduction to Lokmanya Tilak, when I was around five years old, and it later sparked my interest in learning more about him and his life in Pune. I could never have imagined that, 76 years later, I would return to the same city to receive an award instituted in his memory. It is truly my good fortune." #AjitDoval #PuneNews #LokmanyaTilakNationalAward (Full video available on PTI Videos -

#1yearofRetro 💙 The first Half of #Retro was filled with Elevative Artistry, Emotional Connect, Craftwise brilliance, One of the Career best performances of Suriya, Technical brilliance, Totally invested Engaging Screenplay and Perfect interval block.. More than anything the Politics of colonisation and the message at the end was so beautifully done!! Especially the Chapter - Love! It was a poetry on screens.. 1st 40 minutes and 20 minutes towards interval block nu this 1 hour was such a masterpiece work both in writing and direction!! That 15 minute Single shot Kanimaa Sequence was Pure Cinema!! I would definitely mention about this as one of the best sequences ever made in indian cinema..🔥 shreyaas krishna ‘s cinematography, Santhosh Narayanan ‘s absolutely mind blowing background score and songs, Make up, Costumes, Stunts னு Craftwise it was a stunner in every department! Though I didn’t like Loki- Vijay - Ani’s master on the whole, I’d still rate it as one of the best cinematic experience I had on theatres because of the performances of vijay, VjS and I loved so many moments all over the film from the Actor - Director - music director trio.. I feel retro is that for suriya 💙 எனக்கு Overall message ஆ, Scenes ஆ, Idea level ல 2nd Half பிடிச்சிருந்தாலும் ஏன் இவ்ளோ All over the place ஆ இருக்குனு தான் முதல் முறை பாக்கறப்போ தோணுச்சு.. And Suriya is one of the finest performers we’ve got in Tamil.. சில காலமா வாரணம் ஆயிரம் and NVOK Hangover அவரோட எல்லா Roles லயும் தெரியுதுனு சொல்லிட்டு இருந்த எனக்கு, “This is the performer Suriya I was waiting for!! This is what he’s capable of!!” னு தோண வெச்ச படம் #Retro தான்! I would rate this performance as one of his career best performances!! So tough to crack and convey to the audience.. Actor ஆ சூர்யா யாரு, அவரோட Potential என்னனு காட்டறதுக்கு சமீபமா வந்த படங்கள்ல Perfect portfolio படம்னா அது Retro தான்..💯 The mirror scene where he tries to smile so hard and The interval scene where he smiles for the first time will go down as one of the best scenes in suriya’s career!! But he pulled it off so well!! I might have complaints with the products Suriya Sivakumar has given, but I would be the happiest person if I see something good happens for him!! Retro is one such good thing happened to him! Always thanking karthik subbaraj always for that! 💙
