But that’ll require taking a photo of the person, processing it n merging it with d visa template before printing it out. That means it must have some glue at the back to be able to stick to the passport leaflet. That’s much work for a country that’s looking to cut waiting time.

We discussed specific areas where we can advance our partnership: agriculture, defense cooperation, and expanding programs for Ghanaian students to study at Ukrainian universities. Ghana will chair the African Union next year, and it is important that we make the most of this period to strengthen ties between Ukraine and Africa. We also held detailed discussions on how Russia recruits citizens of Ghana and other countries in Africa to participate in the war against Ukraine, and how we can counter this. Our teams will remain in contact on this issue. I am grateful to Ghana for its clear support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for backing our positions in UN General Assembly resolutions.

Unfortunately, the number of Ghanaian deaths in Russia has gone up. 62 Ghanaians have now died and 15 who travelled to Russia remain missing. I welcome the pledge of the Russian Government to work with the Government of Ghana to stop the illegal enlistment of our youth. Cleaning is one of the most essential jobs in any society. Without cleaners, our hospitals, schools, offices, markets, airports, and streets simply cannot function. While I was in Ghana, I met a cleaner and told him, “I do the same job in Europe.” The difference is not the dignity of the work—the difference is the value placed on the people doing it. My cleaning job in Europe has allowed me to live with dignity, support my family, and pursue my dreams. Every cleaner in Ghana deserves that same respect and a fair wage. It’s time for employers, policymakers, and decision-makers to recognize that cleaners are not “just cleaners.” They are frontline workers who protect public health, keep our communities running, and make life better for everyone.
