Most men (and women for that sake), can spot phoniness a mile away. That Jake Tapper is trying to say that somehow he missed the whole story along the way is ridiculous. And that now, his coming to us in "humility" and seeking absolution is just another complete spin. These journos just don't get it. Why does he not admit it and say "You know what, my hatred for Trump & MAGA got in my way. I was not an objective journalist, even though I arrogantly strived to convince you - the viewers, that I was. I seek your forgiveness. I do not deserve it. But I will do my best to return to objectivity. My hope is that my actions, not just my words - will show you that over time."
