Thats not the noise, that how brain actually completes the sentences what we hear. Most people don't realize but even when native speakers are talking to each other there is a big amount of information loss, which you brain often just "replace" or skip on autopilot mode. Once the guy heard the sentence what it supposed to be, his brain simply just recognised better and got trained. It has nothing to do with the "noise"

My wife does this to me all the time. She will be on the other side of the house and randomly ask me some question about something completely out of left field with zero context. I hear her voice faintly but I struggle to match that sounds she made to a string of words that make sense. Then I ask "what are you talking about?" and she will say something like "the microwave!" and just with that context alone it unlocked what she said previously. It's possible to obfuscate words enough where, without context, you don't know where to start.

Foreign language learning can give you a variation of that. There's a level (before fluency) where I know a lot but I'm not practiced at listening yet. I can hear something, not understand it at all, but once I watch it with the same-language subtitles it suddenly becomes obvious they're saying that, and I can't not hear it afterward. I know all the words, why didn't I understand it, I think. Presumably fluent students and native speakers have a bigger buffer of things they're primed to hear & understand.
