First, LGBTQ identity cannot be used to justify or excuse inappropriate physical contact. Sexual orientation is part of a person’s identity, but it is unrelated to behavioral boundaries. In any public or professional setting, physical interaction must always be based on clear consent and established rules, not justified by...

1)I didn’t post anything that directly named or insulted him. 2)I only translated what he said on the show and clarified that fans are not coming from a place of jealousy

So, how can we prove that consent? Should Namtan also be criticsed considering the photo below? There was no prior-consent given there either. Not trying to defend Moddam, but if we would apply that logic of yours, there is no difference here.

Idk how to explain this, but in Thai, Moddam is considered ‘tood,’ not just ‘gay.’ It’s like a gay man who is very feminine but doesn’t dress as a woman. Thai people don’t always perceive ‘tood’ the same way they perceive men; they tend to see them as closer to women.

Regardless of someone’s identity or how they self-identify, it should never be used as a justification for crossing boundaries. Gender expression or social perception does not change the fundamental principle of respecting consent and personal space. What you’re describing shifts the focus away from the actual issue — which is whether boundaries were crossed — and instead tries to categorize the person. But boundaries don’t change based on identity. Moreover, in the video, he not only crossed those boundaries, but also distorted the intent behind public criticism, misrepresenting why people are speaking up in the first place.

just bcuz his part of the lgbt community means he has the right to touch namtan and other girls, especially when they’re uncomfortable about it and he’s just using that as an excuse for his misbehavior and dirty act, and also making us foreign fans jealous about hisdirty behavior

Actually just because you're gay that doesn't mean you could touch a girl like that, even if you say you're fucking Gay you still have a PENIS alright? Yes you can say you're part of the LGBTQ Community but you do not have the fucking audacity to touch a girl. #Dumbass #Pervert

Let’s keep this discussion rational. I understand that everyone is upset, but this is simply a difference in perspectives. We can just talk it through calmly.

This wasn't just holding hands; you touched thighs, backs, and even hugged! Don't distort the facts. We respect Thai culture, but that doesn't mean we accept physical contact during promotional activities! That would make people all over the world uncomfortable.

Basically, they’ve dismissing the incident as an overreaction from “Those crazy people who dislike men” ?! Instead of addressing the situation seriously or AT LEAST recognizing the issue? I’m sorry for NT but this person CLEARLY is in the wrong and sadly will continue to do so.

I understand you’re not familiar with this culture, but your confidence seems to exceed your knowledge. Not knowing is fine. Being this confident while uninformed is… concerning. Maybe take a moment to understand the context before jumping to conclusions.

When will they realize this is a public program? It’s not just for Thailand;Blaming it on fans being jealous will only make them even angrier. On a show, hosts—regardless of gender—should not have such physical contact; it leaves a terrible impression.

I don’t know why it’s so hard to understand. Respecting female artists means respecting their boundaries. It doesn't matter who is doing the touching or what their sexuality is, if she didn't give the green light, touching her thigh repeatedly is a total violation.

The decision by ABC, CNN, and NBC not to carry President Trump’s primetime address on election security raises a fundamental question about the role of major broadcast networks in a democracy. This was a nationally announced speech by a sitting, duly elected president on the integrity of U.S. elections. An issue that affects every voter, regardless of party. This is not about liking or disliking Trump, or agreeing or disagreeing with his claims. The presidency is the highest elected office in the country. When a president addresses the nation in a formal, scheduled primetime speech, there is a strong public‑interest argument that news networks should air it live and in full. Citizens can’t evaluate their leaders, or their claims, if they aren’t allowed to hear those leaders directly. Editorial judgment and criticism remain essential. Networks are entirely within their rights to add clear disclaimers before and after the address, fact‑check in real time or immediately afterward, host panels that challenge, contextualize, or rebut the president’s statements. But substituting that for the speech itself, showing only handpicked clips, summaries, or commentary, shifts from informing the public to curating what the public is permitted to see. At that point, viewers are reacting to the networks’ framing, not to the president’s actual words. Even after being censored in the U.S., having its license revoked and facing sanctions, RT International chose to air the address in full. RT has publicly disagreed with the president’s policies and with parts of this speech, but it treated the event as a matter of public record. Our principle is simple: viewers should be able to watch the complete address in context, hear the arguments unedited, and then weigh both the speech and the subsequent criticism for themselves. Rather than having corporate media gatekeepers decide in advance which presidential messages are fit for broadcast.
