First measurable rain in Las Vegas since April 26th

Desert tortoises will instinctively try to get wet and drink water from these brief rainstorms. This tortoise is behaving like a wild one because the instinctual behavior triggered by summer rainfall is so intense. Tortoises are truly resilient.

Feels so nice. I’ll take every drop I can get.

It’s heaven for animals and people’s utility bills.
