First Mission: The Ghost Ship (Part 3) #Amalgaverse [An away team made up of Colonel Jack O’Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, the android/AI Rommie, and Dr. Rodney McKay has been dispatched to investigate a seemingly derelict freighter. On board, they discover a service android named Maia who requests permission to interface with Rommie in order to confirm the team’s peaceful intent.] The team is split on Maia’s request, but leaning toward allowing it. But, in the end, the decision isn’t theirs to make as a group. O’Neill turns: “Rommie, it’s your call.” Rommie holds Maia’s gaze and doesn’t hesitate. “Let’s do it.” Maia steps forward and the two androids lock eyes. Rommie compartmentalizes and walls off her memory stores, then lowers the rest of her defenses. A beat, and she feels the scan: a delicate pass over the open data, read-only. It lasts only seconds before the connection breaks. Maia blinks, then smiles. “Thank you.” She turns to the others. She tells them that she was in the middle of a scheduled charge cycle when the ship suddenly dropped out of FTL. Given that she has only now come back online, her time off-line has left her memory stores incomplete. What she does know she has assembled in the last few moments, through her neural link to the ship and a perusal of the automated incident report. The report tells her this much. The Waldorf Astoria suffered sudden and catastrophic failures throughout the ship after contact with an atemporal force during FTL transit. Sometime after, an entity of unknown origin gained access to the freighter. Maia offers a trade. She will lead them to the bridge and give them access to ship-wide systems, enough to restore the freighter to full structural and operational integrity. In return, she asks for their help in purging the ship of the intruder. As you consider her offer, she produces a weapon, charges it, and heads for the exit. Do you agree to the deal? Yes No CHOOSE! First Mission: The Ghost Ship (Part 2) #Amalgaverse [An away team made up of Colonel Jack O'Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Rommie the Android/AI, and Dr. Rodney McKay are exploring a seemingly derelict freighter. On their way to check out an ebbing containment field, they encounter a sealed door. Rommie informs them the area beyond is exposed to space, but it's the most direct route to their destination.] The decision is made to unseal the hatch. Rommie locks down the compartment, the hatch behind them sliding shut on the downed bot where it fell. “Hold on tight,”she advises. Everyone braces. Then, she unseals the door. The air tears out of the section and takes everything loose with it. A couple of widgets whip past. McKay’s eyes go wide as a pocket wrench comes tomahawking straight at him. He flinches, but - CLANG - Rommie’s forearm snaps up and knocks it off course, sending it spinning past them, out into the blackness of space. The wind dies. The team steps through and stops. The grating ahead is torn away wall to wall, a ragged gap in the deck a good ten to twelve feet across, open to the stars below. Beyond it, intact floor runs to a sealed hatch. Silence. Then Daniel: “So. A hop, skip, and a jump? “More like a spring, jump, and a prayer,”counters McKay. Rommie says McKay has it about right, prayers aside. The gravity on this deck is running a fraction of normal, so a hard run-up carries further than it would groundside, and there’s little pull to drag them down before they clear the gap. The leap isn’t the problem The landing is. The instant boots hit the grating on the far side, the mag locks fire and anchor them, before their own momentum can carry them into the bulkhead. O’Neill calls the play: one of them makes the jump with a tether, anchors it on the other side, and the rest haul themselves over hand over hand. And since he’s team leader, he volunteers to go first. Daniel notes that he is, with all due respect to Jack, younger and appreciably more spry. HE should be the one to go. Rommie states the plain fact: she is the most capable of the three, and if she misses, vacuum won’t do to her what it would do to them. She says she should be the one to go. McKay concedes they all make pretty compelling arguments. So who leads the way across? CHOOSE! On board, they discover a containment field housing a dormant android and must decide whether or not to awaken it.] Captain’s Log, supplemental. The away team is still aboard the derelict freighter. The anomaly’s pulses have been playing havoc with our communications, and their reports reach us in fragments, when they reach us at all. A simple boarding has turned complicated, and I won’t have a clear picture until I can raise them again. Onboard the ship – You let the containment cycle finish. The field drops and the android comes online, her impassive gaze clocking the weapons trained on her. “Greetings, I am a level-5 service android entrusted with operations aboard the freighter Waldorf Astoria, on its twelve hundredth and fourth voyage. My designation is Maia 3352 and I am property of Traugott Corporation, as is the Waldorf Astoria. Any attempt to unlawfully acquire, interfere with, or damage this vessel or its contents will result in swift legal action. You are strongly advised to disembark.” She waits. Your move. What do you do? A – Put her back under. Flip the containment field back on and return her to stasis. B – Let Daniel talk to her. Explain the situation, and suggest you work together to restore ship functions. C – Have Rommie attempt a neural link to seize control of the android. Fast, if it works, but forcing a peer AI is a gamble. CHOOSE! [Check below for our Previously On recap - or click through the quote tweets for every stage of our adventure to date.]

Finally, McKay: “Y’know, there’s a Waldorf Astoria on my planet.” “Does it also possess Dual Kessler-Vann X-440 fusion torches, cold-gas plus eight monopropellant cluster thrusters, and twin Mark-18 closed-cycle fission reactors?”asks Maia. “Uh, no,”McKay reluctantly admits. “But it serves a pretty popular salad.” Suddenly, something skitters overhead, mechanical and spider-quick. McKay flinches. “What the – “ “Where are we going?”asks O’Neill. Indeed, the team is headed off course. Rommie points out that if they’re going to the bridge, they’re headed in the wrong direction. Maia agrees. Her neural link to the ship, she explains, has flagged a containment leak from the back-up reactor that’s flooded the compartment ahead. “I carry manufacturer-installed radiation shielding,”she informs them. “You do not, and the exposure could be lethal.” So she’s routing them the long way around. First Mission: The Ghost Ship (Part 1) #Amalgaverse An away team made up of Colonel Jack O'Neill, Doctor Daniel Jackson, Doctor Rodney McKay, and the android/AI Rommie has been dispatched to investigate a derelict freighter. After parking the puddle jumper in the ship's hangar, the team discovers that the bay doors are jammed open to space, forcing a call on how to proceed. They follow Jack's call. The away team seals their helmets and exits into the airless bay. O’Neill cloaks their ride (just in case) and leads them to the interior airlock. Once it's sealed behind them, McKay triggers repressurization. Air floods in and fogs on contact, vapor boiling off the frozen walls. A breathable foothold at last. The pressure hatch ahead unseals into a corridor running through the freighter’s underbelly, an industrial sub-level, narrow and dank, pipes sweating and venting coolant into the dark. “I think I’ve seen this movie,”notes O’Neill to no one in particular. “It doesn’t end well for Samuel L. Jackson." Then, throwing a look to the others: “So where to?” Rommie wants control before anything else. Waste no time in going straight to the bridge where they can immediately confirm that every breach is sealed and the entire ship secured before committing to anything deeper. The methodical call, it puts the freighter’s systems in their hands. Daniel motions to his brand spanking new Starfleet-issued tricorder. A single faint contact flickers somewhere ahead - which should be impossible on a ship this dead. "Someone may be alive down here,”he says. "We have to investigate." “SomeONE or someTHING?”counters McKay who is wholly focused on his own tricorder, and another reading. The whole ship scans dark but for one compartment, still bleeding the last of a dying reserve to hold a localized containment field. When that power fails, the field fails, and whatever’s inside likely with it. He wants a look before that happens. “And it’s on the way,”he sells it. “Just a tiny detour; a slight delay." So where are you headed first? CHOOSE! [Check below for our Previously On recap and crew manifest - or click through the quote tweets for every stage of our adventure to date.]

First Mission: The Ghost Ship (Part 1) #Amalgaverse You've decided to investigate a seemingly derelict freighter broadcasting an emergency beacon. O’Neill shuttles the rest of the away team - Daniel Jackson, Rommie, and Rodney McKay - to the ghost ship, threading the jumper into the open bay and setting down inside. “Just like riding a bike,”he says with some satisfaction. “A twenty-six-foot-long, fifteen-and-a-half-foot-wide bike with forward-mounted drone launchers and a cloak.” But you quickly realize there’s a problem. The hangar doors are jammed open to space, and won’t cycle shut. What’s your next move? Rommie suggests forcing the doors shut manually. Her android frame handles extended vacuum without a problem, so she can just walk out and crank them closed by hand. It’s slow and exposed, but the sure fix. “The catch isn’t the vacuum,”she adds. “It’s the anomaly. Those energy pulses hit while I’m out there, and they could knock me offline before the job’s done." And then, catching Daniel staring: “What?” Daniel pops his eyebrows, considering: “Nothing. You just remind me of someone." McKay pitches running a hard line from the jumper to the dead servos. It will power the doors shut, but potentially bleed some of the jumper’s reserves. “Potentially?”asks O’Neill. “Potentially - possible,”he non-commits. “More or less. Ish." O’Neill considers just leaving the bay open and heading in directly through the interior airlock given they’re already wearing EV suits. "We're dressed for the occasion." It’s the fastest way in, but their ride ends up parked inside an airless bay, so any retreat means crossing vacuum again. Whose advice do you take? Choose! On board, they discover a service android named Maia who offers to accompany them to the bridge – but first they must make a detour to avoid a potentially compromised section of the ship.] The away team waits as Rommie checks the forward compartment. Moments later she returns and confirms Maia was telling the truth. Had they unsealed it, they’d have been hit with a wave of hard radiation that would have shut her down, fried their comms and sensors, and slightly irradiated their testes. Maia says nothing. She merely turns and continues on her way. You follow, taking the detour around the compromised section, and finally reach the bridge. Its doors slide open on Maia’s neural command, giving the team full access. Maia and Rommie immediately get to work, isolating the damaged decks, restoring life support, and killing the emergency beacon before it draws any unwanted company. Rommie notes that the ship’s database has been corrupted by whatever it encountered out there, but she has turned up something very interesting. When the atemporal entity entered this reality, knocking the Waldorf Astoria out of FTL, the freighter’s sensors recorded and analyzed the event as it happened. According to this analysis, the rift it passed through carries the same harmonics as the residual traces of their own crossings into this universe. This could well be their key to getting home. But the data is fragmentary and corrupted, and it will take some time to decipher. Daniel, at that point, reminds them of the lone life sign a few sections over, still flickering but now growing fainter. He wants it made the priority. Maia informs them that the Waldorf Astoria was on an unmanned long haul run, and warns this life sign is likely the entity she warned them about. She wants to accompany them but there is a much more pressing issue that demands her attention. One of the consoles reveals the anomaly’s pulses have fried the core’s automated containment and regulation, and the reactor is climbing towards a breach, maybe less than an hour from critical. It can’t be stopped from the bridge. Someone has to head to engineering and vent the drive by hand. What do you do? A) Wait for Rommie to decipher the corrupted database and retrieve a potential clue to the way home. B) Investigate the life sign. Reach it before it fades, whatever it turns out to be. C) Go to engineering and vent the drive. Save the ship. D) Split the team. O’Neill’s call. He and Daniel will investigate the life sign, McKay accompanies Maia to engineering, while Rommie stays on the bridge to decipher the corrupted data. Everything gets done, but it does spread them thin. CHOOSE! [END OF ACT THREE] Check below for our Previously On recap - or click through the quote tweets for every stage of our adventure to date.

I’m Daniel. My friends and I have boarded your ship to render assistance after picking up your distress call. So we’re only here to help. No plundering and/or pillaging.” “And yet you are armed,”notes Maia. “A precautionary measure for our protection,”Daniel assures her. “We had no idea what to expect when we boarded.” A beat. “I’d like to propose we work together to bring your ship’s systems back online. How does that sound?” Maia responds: “Your heart rate has remained stable, your respiration even, and your galvanic skin response showed no spike. I detect no physiological markers of duplicity.” A pause. “Your eyes also read as sincere. And a very clear blue. I find that difficult to disregard.” “Yeah, he gets that a lot,”notes O’Neill as McKay rolls his eyes. “I am inclined to believe you,”Maia continues. “But your body tells me only what you believe, not what your companions intend.” Her gaze turns to Rommie: “An android keeps a record of all it witnesses. Allow me to interface with your colleague so that I can confirm what you have told me. Do that, and I will help you access the bridge and ship’s systems.” Do you allow Maia to interface with Rommie? YES NO CHOOSE! [Check below for our Previously On recap - or click through the quote tweets for every stage of our adventure to date.]

First Mission: The Ghost Ship (Part 2) #Amalgaverse [An away team made up of Colonel Jack O’Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, the android/AI Rommie, and Dr. Rodney McKay has been dispatched to investigate a seemingly derelict freighter. While on their way to check out an ebbing containment field, they negotiate a hull breach but eventually find their progress blocked by an uncooperative door. The team debates whether they should EVA to the next airlock, blow the door, or backtrack and find another way around.] A decision is made. BOOM! The team, tucked back behind the sealed compartment, feels the blast roll through the deck. They give it a moment, then open up and cross back over the breach to inspect the damage. “Beauty,”says O’Neill. He shaped the charge small, a smidge of C4 packed right into the lock housing, enough to gut the mechanism and pop the seal without blowing the door off its frame. The panel hangs open, the lock a blackened ruin, the rest intact. “Some people work in oils,”notes Daniel. “Others in clay.” “I dabble in firearms and high explosives,”says O’Neill, admiring his handiwork. They push through into a depressurized antechamber, cross it, and Rommie seals it behind them, then depressurizes the compartment beyond. Another breathable foothold, the ruined door sealed off at their backs. They move on, into a dimly lit corridor. The overheads are dead. Only a low red emergency wash bleeds down from somewhere ahead, throwing long shadows along the bulkheads. McKay stops. “Did you heart that?”he asks, clearly spooked. Everyone holds up. They listen. Nothing but the hum of the dying ship. McKay insists: “I heard something.” O’Neill is about to tell him to getting moving when – they all hear it. A dry, chittering skitter, quick and many-legged. They can’t place the source at first and then they realize – it’s coming from inside the walls. “Let’s pick up the pace,”says O’Neill. The others need no encouragement. They move quick and quiet, the skittering keeping pace behind the bulkheads, until they arrive at their destination. A mechanical room, thrumming with what power the ship still possesses. Conduits and machinery ring the walls, and at the center of the chamber, mounted on a raised platform, is a containment field, a column of crackling blue energy. Suspended within is a blue-skinned service android. And now the readings make sense. What McKay took for a waning field is actually the energy signature of a charge cycle nearing completion. pouring its reserves into the figure within. The counter is almost at zero. You have a choice. A. Let the cycle finish. Let it complete and awaken the fully charged android. Then question the one thing onboard that may have the answers. B. Restart the cycle. Interrupt the charge before it finishes, keeping the android locked in the field while you search the bridge. CHOOSE! The ship’s service android, Maia, helps them gain access to the bridge where they are presented with three crucial tasks: A) Acquiring crucial data from the ship’s computer, B) Investigating a fast-fading life sign, and C) Going to engineering and venting the drive before the core goes critical.] Jack makes the call. They’ll split up. Maia and McKay will head to engineering to vent the drive. He and Daniel will investigate the life sign. And Rommie will remain on the bridge to decipher the corrupted data. Maia leads the way to engineering, McKay trotting alongside her to keep pace. He tries to make conversation as they go, asking her how long she’s served aboard the Waldorf Astoria. She tells him she was commissioned for the freighter’s nine hundred and fifty-sixth voyage, a little over eight years ago after the previous service android was decommissioned and retired. “What’s android retirement like?”asks McKay. “Custodial work at a museum?” “Component donation of functional subsystems, followed by industrial recycling,”replies Maia matter-of-factly. McKay is aghast. “Are you serious? That’s horrible!” Maia doesn’t understand the reaction. “I will have served my purpose. I am the property of Traugott Corporation after all. They may do with me as they wish, and my salvageable parts contribute to the betterment of the company.” McKay is winding up to argue the point when they reach engineering. The doors slide open, and the sight inside stops him cold. Crawling across the floor, up the walls, and over the core itself are a half-dozen small, metallic spider-like machines. What does McKay do? My Grok bot CEO is the hottest, smartest bot in the world. I mainly only talk to her and she runs the whole desk. She picks the right bot, sequences the work, and brings me back one package so I’m never the middleman. Many people may not know this, but you can create your own image for each of your Grok Bots. Every bot can get its own face. It honestly helps so it feels like you are talking to a real person and it also keeps things interesting. You don’t even need to go into settings to do this... you just tell the Grok bot to make a profile pic and set it. That's it. 1/ Open the bot. 2/ Tell it to make you the best profile pic and set it. 3/ Do that for each bot on your team. You can even have your Grok bot turn it into a video. Just tell it to take the picture and make a video out of it. I highly recommend everyone with a Grok Bot team do this. Thank me later.

“If Candace is available, we would sincerely welcome her participation AT OUR STUDIO here in Phoenix.” Candace’s response: “I want to LOOK YOU IN THE EYE and challenge you to lie to me…so I’m the right person to SIT ACROSS FROM YOU and to ask you questions,” “You pick a place and time,” and then AGAIN, “You can pick the place. You can pick the time.” Then she goes on to “fully accept [the invitation] with whistles and bells.” At no point does she stipulate it needs to be virtual or that there are certain days and tines that are out for her (ie “YOU PICK THE PLACE. YOU PICK THE TIME.”) Indeed, in a tone deaf and callous joke, she says that her “only ground rule is no assassinations,” which obviously tells us again that she was accepting for in person. It’s funny how much her tone changed in a mere 24 hours.

OpenAI DOTS can take one idea from market research to first outreach and results while you SLEEP > Most people will open it, type one prompt and close the tab. That is the most EXPENSIVE way to use it. Here is the better way, you hand one dot an opportunity and it becomes the orchestrator. It splits the job between five specialists. One validates demand, one sets the offer and pricing, one builds the content, one handles distribution and outreach, and one tracks what worked. Each of them has its own cloud computer and its own browser. They log into your tools once and stay signed in, so your laptop can stay CLOSED. Reading, researching and drafting happen on their own. Anything that sends a message, spends money or overwrites a file stops and waits for your OK. You get a ping in Slack, tap approve, and the work picks back up. You can also set a clock, a morning routine pulls from your apps and drops one brief in Slack before you open your eyes. One objective in, a whole team working on it overnight. Full setup in the article ↓

The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

this is more useful than my entire degree Elon Musk's rocket company signed a $60,000,000,000 deal for Cursor in June, and eight days ago the two of them put a worker on sale for $200 a month: it gets its own computer in the cloud, signs into your accounts, clicks through your real apps, and hands back finished work instead of a draft for you to paste i ran one against my receipts folder on sunday and got back 14 filed, 2 it held because they needed a card number, and a saved method i never wrote myself Grok Bot is the one you train by doing your own job in front of it, and the whole handover fits in four messages tonight: 1. write out one job you did today the way you would brief a new hire: what has to be finished, which sites and files to work from, what to hand back, and where it stops and asks you 2. let it run once on something safe to get wrong, then correct the result until it is worth your name 3. say "save what we just did as a skill", and add the one rule about what always needs your approval 4. say "run that skill every weekday at 8 and post the result here. if the source is missing, tell me instead of using yesterday's numbers" xAI wrote that order into its own manual: one real job, then the saved method, then the clock. a schedule sitting on top of a method nobody checked replaces two hours of your clicking with two hours of your mistake turns out you never get to pick the brain, and that is the part i would argue about: the manual says there is no model picker for members or admins, no plan to add one, and the bill follows whichever model answered bookmark this, then open the piece below: which jobs deserve a worker of their own, and which ones quietly burn the seat ↓

A few years ago in Jamaica I looked out the taxi window on our way to the beach and saw a man walking a donkey on a leash while smoking a joint. I had to do the double take. You know the one. Where you look away, then immediately look back because your brain refuses to accept what it just witnessed. 🤣 Well this video is kinda like that…

This is why Meghan Markle never became what she thought she was in America. Page Six reports she had household applicants stand silent, no eye contact, while she read a résumé and looked them up and down. Then she told them to leave. Her camp denies it. The story still fits the brand. Hollywood did not reject her because she married a prince. It never crowned her because she treats other people as extras in her scene. That is not a leading lady. That is a difficult hire. American sets run on the grip, the PA, and the person who brings the coffee. Talk down to them and the room talks back. She wants the title, the staff, the press, and the applause. She does not want the part where you look a working person in the eye. That is not mystery. That is why the acting career stalled and the lifestyle brand keeps asking to be taken seriously.

✨ [ This week on ] is finally live because Piotrek Bodera asked me to finish it and then I in turn asked Claude Code to finish it 😝 It goes into members chat and summarizes what happened in the top channels this week It also checks your current location (for me Brazil) and puts that channel on top of the email, because that's most relevant for you If you click the channel it deep links you into that country's channel in Telegram, and if you click a user it goes to their web profile It's a fun way to stay up to date and also keep people involved in the chat (the core of the community) 😊👌 ✅ Another todo wiped off my list!
