Two frustrating things here: 1. It's 3rd-and-5 and you're trying to hit a shot play with 1:32 left in the half. You have time to work. Don't love the call from LaFleur 2. Love has time. This throw has no chance. Take a second, extend the play and see if you can create.

Just stumbled on this play. Watch the angle of departure for Bullock. Didn't get a great jump on the throw but there's no fat on his transition and close. Stingley's recovery speed and ball tracking means BTJ never has a chance, but on a perfect throw, Bullock would be there.

Some of Nate Schmidt’s best work on an inbounds play that we’ve seen. Watch Carr get on his heels after the off ball from Toure thinking Lipsey is coming directly at him and going to try and maneuver around him. Jefferson then moves forward while his defender does not have eyes on ball and can’t see what’s going on. Meanwhile for Momcilovic his defender is stuck on him on the other side of the court so he has no chance to make a play on Heise’s full court pass. The delivery from Heise and the throw down from Lipsey. Good stuff from the Clones.

When an infielder makes a play where he is out of control, bounce the throw. This ensures the ball can be caught…The worst that can happen is the runner is safe at 1b and DP is still in play…trying to make the long perfect throw could lead to an overthrow or an in between hop

The Eagles got what they wanted on 4th down. With a better throw that is a completion and the game is over. They have hit on this play tons of time. Perfectly acceptable that’s what Sirianni went with. It just didn’t work.

Here is the play folks are asking about, and I don't see an error here. Triolo doesn't make an attempt at the runner going to second, so it cannot be a fielder's choice, and the struggle to get the ball out of his glove isn't an error unless there is a complete loss of contact/bobble with air, and I don't see that either, and Happ then beat out the play at first. I don't see where the error is because Happ is on the base before the ball gets to first. There is an error for the advancements after the bad throw, but I have a single and not an assumed out here.

So many players hitting a low stinger cut up the first at The Open Why? They are trying to get the ball on the ground as quickly as possible. Keeping the ball low means the ball won’t have enough air time to go OOB which is on both sides of the 1st hole It’s a amazing that the best golfers on the planet still revert to a second serve when they NEED to get that thing in play Cool shot here 🐝
