The first time I met ACTIONMAN back in January 2024, it was definitely at one of the lowest points in my life. I was in so much debt that I had to get a job to help myself get out of it and I had no choice but to go back to that. I’ve always liked working for myself and doing my own thing but it got to a point where that wasn’t cutting it at all. It made me so sad even though the co workers were all cool I was still stuck behind a checkout counter for HOURS getting paid minimum wage. Eventually i started filming for streamers again a few months after i met AC7 and I just kept filming for creators till I finally got my dream filming job which is to film for Adin. He was always the end goal and now we finally did it. If I can do it, so can yall. When I am at the gym and I see somebody’s water bottle there or a towel or something. I know they just stepped away for a moment and that the machine is occupied. Out of respect I won’t move it out of the way only for them to come back and have to explain themselves anyways. This young lady on the machine left her water bottle on it because she stepped away for a moment to use the restroom only for somebody else to come by and try to use it in her place. Would you have understood the etiquette or is it just a free for all? When I first started working out I was unfamiliar with the gym etiquette. Some people just got done with a hard set and need to stand up and walk for a few moneys or get a drink of water and they use it as their rest period so that they can go back at it. Interrupting that process is the same thing as booting them off the machine mid workout. It’s rude and uncalled for but why does it keep happening? I think what it is, is that some people are very judgmental, they see others and think that they are more serious about working out than the other person so that to them it means they are entitled to use it first because their workouts are more important. I used to let them do that to me but no more. I treat it as first come first serve, if they don’t want to wait then maybe they need to avoid the gym during peak hours. This is the very reason I work out in the middle of the night most of the time. I rather not be bothered and if I need to take my time I can, most of the time nobody else is even there anyways when I go.

I started my first company less than a month after my daughter was born. People thought I was crazy (maybe I was). But I'd had this idea stuck in my head and I couldn't let it go. So I built Autoblocks while learning how to be a dad at the same time. Then last year, right around the time we found out we were having our second, I went through something that changed how I think about time: a health situation that was serious enough to make me question whether I'd get to watch my kids grow up. Fortunately, I'm past it now and healthier than ever. But it rewired something in me. I shut down Autoblocks. Not because it wasn't working - we had real customers, real traction. I shut it down because life got short and I needed to build something that mattered more to me. My daughter is three. My son is six months. I want to be there for as much of this as I possibly can. And I think for the first time in my career, the technology exists to make that possible. That's why we built Clutch. Not just because AI employees are a massive opportunity - they are. But because I believe the companies that figure out human-AI collaboration are going to give their people something back: time. Time to be with your family. Time to do the things you've been putting off. Time to actually live while you build. We made a short film to try to capture that idea. I didn't start racing in this series to get that, but now that we're here it's pretty cool. And it just shows that even though we're a small team, we work hard and we're determined, we don't give up. I think if there was ever a format change for the Team Championship that was going to benefit us, exactly having four days with four scores counting every day. It's, I think, where we're the strongest and we have been the strongest, and I'm glad we were able to prove it one more time. This was awesome. I got the opportunity to describe to Rick Rubin how I make Founders podcast: “Steph Curry was asked: What do you think of when you're taking a shot? And he said: Absolutely nothing. I’ve had people ask me how I choose what to highlight. What are you thinking of when you're doing this? And my response is: Nothing. I just read and if something jumps out to me I don't think at all, I just underline it. And then I'll go back through and reread all my highlights. And if that part is still interesting, it was interesting the first time, now it's interesting the second time, it's probably interesting to other people. There's 10 million mes out there. I'm not unique. And there's no way that if I read this line twice and found it interesting that if I read it on a podcast that somebody else is not going to think it's interesting too. If I overthink it or if I think of “oh this person might hear it” or “oh this many people will hear it” that gets in the way. I'm thinking of nothing.”

I really, really, really wanted to drop this song last year. When I first put out the snippet, I was so excited - but it was hard to finish it on time because everything was a blur. I was sick and weak and nauseous and tired and my body just wouldn't do what I wanted it to. Even in the snippet video, I wasn't feeling great. I was just trying my best. I adore Chike's voice and I knew it was him that had to be on the song with me. When I asked him to give me a verse, he was so ready to go, but he was out of town. As soon as he came back, he came over to my studio the next day 🥹. I got a lotta respect for him. He didn't know I was pregnant and suffering 😅 Watching this video back now, I can't even understand where the energy came from. When the song was done, I struggled to mix it. Even so, I decided to master it myself. I hate mastering, so I don't know what I thinking. I was so disappointed that I couldn't meet the deadline. Everyone had fallen in love with the song and was asking me to put it out. I didn't have the energy to make content. I don't even remember them recording this video. Given how much I love this song, I'm a little bummed I couldn't give it energy it deserves. But please, know that a lot of love and resilience went into this song. I hope that you can let less be more for this one. I hope you can give it the energy that I couldn't. That I can't. PS: This is a chance for those of you that say I gave up my career for marriage to fight(?) for my uhm...rights? That or stfu. co-founder of Ramp, Eric Glyman on hiring: "We often like to write very short job descriptions. If there's one thing that matters, go just for that. Have the interviews center around just one thing and look for extraordinary spikes." some of the early hires at Ramp were 15 or 17 and known in the Minecraft community for being kids making private servers and building successful businesses to pay their way through college. their code wouldn't pass a Google review, but it was an early sign that they could build something from nothing, figure out the hard parts, and ship it to real users. as we build out the team at Lyra, this is something I keep coming back to, because as Eric said: "It's so hard to be excellent at anything. And if you can find someone who is excellent at something, even if it's very distinct or weird or a certain hobby, that's a sign that someone probably has what you're really looking for."
