I was bored one afternoon 5 years ago. Done my client work for the day and was messing around in After Effects. A few hours later this loop was born. I didn't think much of it at first but when I showed it to my wife she was mesmerized. Something changed in me after making this one. I decided to push myself further. To stop doing cute little things on dribbble/IG for likes and to make the stuff I dreamt of doing as a kid. Be an actual animator. Like a lot of artists I come from a world of emotional pain. My childhood was not the easiest to say the least. I lost my brother at a young age and dealt with a lot of shit over the years. I'm forever stuck in a loop of trying to find balance, but at least I'm finally happy with the art I'm making. Oh and I fucking love cats.

People often ask me how long it took to heal after coming off SSRIs and other psych meds. The truth is that I am still healing. During my first year of medication withdrawal, brushing my teeth and taking a shower felt like major accomplishments. A few years later, I finally started to feel present in my own life again and began reconnecting with who I was beneath the diagnoses, medications, and medicalized story I had carried for so long. Recovering from psychiatrization has not given me a life free of struggle. It’s given me the chance to discover a life full of meaning, purpose, and connection. Mikhaila Peterson

Happy New Year to my Twitter family ❤️🧿 2026 didn’t start on a good note for me. Admitted to the emergency on 31st Dec midnight with 105°F fever & severe lung congestion. After scans & tests — pneumonia. Still in the hospital, recovering slowly. Life humbled me hard. A hard lesson I’m sharing with all of you: I had just finished a 1600 km road drive, ignored mild cold & cough, didn’t rest, didn’t listen to my body. We track markets minute by minute, but ignore the most important asset — health. Please don’t. No trade, no money, no deadline is worth this. Grateful for good doctors, family & all your wishes 🙏 Will be back stronger — mind first, money later.

Mama’s Boyfriend is an unreleased track from the sessions for his 2010 album *My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy*. It was first performed a cappella by Ye at Facebook's headquarters in Palo Alto, California, on July 27, 2010, and later with John Legend at The Box in New York City. This dad sold his house and is the last to leave the home where he raised his family. He calls out the names of each of his children one more time as their names echo through the house. Closing a door for the last time on your family’s first house is such a sad feeling. I remember I had moved my family 4 hours away. I would go over to the house and was getting it ready for the sale, the last few boxes, cleaning the baseboards for the last time, on my hands and knees, I could hear my children’s little voices and laughter echo throughout the house. What a flood of memories. Excited for the new chapter but sad that one was closing. 💔 Have you ever experienced this feeling of selling the house you raised your family in? Do those memories come flooding in? Or, are you fortunate enough to still be living in the same house after all these years?

I'm genuinely so sad Wonkee Pillars never got a chance in discover or in any real spot light. It was considered for Epic's Picks a few months ago a WEEK after publish, but ultimately failed the last acceptance stage a few weeks later. I put my heart into this map last year only for it to be in one tab at 3AM. Never passed 100 players. The worst demotivation I've ever felt regarding UEFN 😭 I personally think the island failed not because of the content inside it, but just an unfortunate unlucky discovery system that never gave it any real chance to see the light of day and expand to players who might be interested. My favorite unique feature from this map was the statue in the middle, it acts as a one-time Mythic Goldfish. Oh the amount of clips my community has pulled from this is truly gold 🫡 Anyways, the reason I'm posting this in the first place is to ask #UEFN #Creative , is it worth picking this project up again? Is there any potential saving this map? I created it in the first place because I loved the pillars genre and the Wonkeeland POI. I thought if I combined the themes, that it might attracted an audience who likes both.

Three hours ago, at an English Manor, here is a “Good beat” story: “Knock knock.” Huh, my do not disturb is on? “Sir, can we send a bellman for your bags?” (Polite English way of saying, “Time to leave.”) Huh, it’s checkout time? “Yep” I never booked a plane ticket home, thought I would get lucky somehow?!? Gambled on it! Thought I might fly to Madison, Wis, to visit my parents on Friday…It’s like noon Wednesday… 40 minutes later: already left the English Manor, now looking at plane tickets in the car, looking at Heathrow to Chicago: only one decent flight, business class $11,000, first class $21,000. I am not cheap, but I hate spending a lot on plane tickets! Deadline looming, 20 minutes from Heathrow; I might not get a flight at all! I bight the bullet and book “Economy Plus” for $4,100 (strangely, “Economy” costs $300 more?!?). At least I got a good deal! I am very tired, and feeling like I deserve business class! I work hard! I make great money! This week, I won enough money to buy a bunch of first class tickets! Jeff Gross calls me to talk about a business deal, then says, “Even if you have to pay $20,000, you book business class ticket for overseas travel! You deserve it Phil!” I say,Thank you Jeff.” I see the “upgrade button”: wow! It’s only 15,000 miles to upgrade to business class (super great deal, vs $11,000–$7,000 more—had I booked 5 minutes earlier), boom, yay! Then, I am offered an upgrade to first class for $140, huh? The first snake we came across got my adrenaline going, and I grabbed it thinking it was a python. Turns out, it was a venomous cottonmouth. This was my first big UI menu in UEFN after the new tools dropped and a proper stress test for Verse Fields, View Bindings, and the updated UMG workflow. • 100+ Verse Fields • 175+ View Bindings • 40+ Animations Built the whole menu with reusability + optimization in mind (just 3 textures + a small set of materials). Multiple UX passes later and I’m really happy with how it turned out 🔥 Huge props to Noah who handled the entire Verse side, couldn’t have done it without him. And of course Heavyblue 🐐 Learned a ton of UMG lessons the hard way, might drop a thread with those soon. If you have any questions, ask them below 👇

Two decades ago when I visited USA for the first time, my relative asked me what I wanted to do the first evening after I landed. Being from the area of Marketing, having analysed many case studies on ‘Walmart’, I asked her if she could take me to Walmart as I wanted to understand supermarket buying behaviour. At that time in India, we did not have supermarkets. Everything was a cultural shock for me then. How people greeted each other, the space between two customers in a line, polite courtesies or customer citizenship behaviour were very new concepts for me to understand. As I walked out of Walmart and was about to cross the road to go to the parking lot, I saw a car coming up so I waited for it to cross while looking down at my phone. A few seconds later the car honked. I looked up and the driver gestured for me to cross the road. I was surprised. My relative said, ‘move so that he can drive’. Another shocker - ‘the right of way is of the pedestrian here?!’ Anyways, I learnt so much in the few months I stayed in USA studying and working. When I came back to India, everything about our behaviour towards each other rattled me until a few days later when I got back to being how we usually are here. But somethings stayed with me for life. The most important one is that - always give way to others. 1-2 seconds isn’t going to change anything so just do it. Today when someone gives me way on road or lets me pass through the door first, I make it a point to give them a big smile, wave and say ‘thank you’. It just gives such a good feeling and warms my heart that someone put me first and chose to go second. But mostly when I give way on road or elsewhere, I don’t receive the same smile in return and hence when I get one, it just makes my day! I really wish we all were kinder to each other in public spaces. Everyone is carrying their own emotional baggage, problems in life, trials and tribulations, that such small joys, smiles and love can just help us tide over bigger issues that plague us much easily. As I walked out of Walmart and was about to cross the road to go to the parking lot, I saw a car coming up so I waited for it to cross while looking down at my phone. A few seconds later the car honked. I looked up and the driver gestured for me to cross the road. I was surprised. My relative said, ‘move so that he can drive’. Another shocker - ‘the right of way is of the pedestrian here?!’ Anyways, I learnt so much in the few months I stayed in USA studying and working. When I came back to India, everything about our behaviour towards each other rattled me until a few days later when I got back to being how we usually are here. But somethings stayed with me for life. The most important one is that - always give way to others. 1-2 seconds isn’t going to change anything so just do it. Today when someone gives me way on road or lets me pass through the door first, I make it a point to give them a big smile, wave and say ‘thank you’. It just gives such a good feeling and warms my heart that someone put me first and chose to go second. But mostly when I give way on road or elsewhere, I don’t receive the same smile in return and hence when I get one, it just makes my day! I really wish we all were kinder to each other in public spaces. Everyone is carrying their own emotional baggage, problems in life, trials and tribulations, that such small joys, smiles and love can just help us tide over bigger issues that plague us much easily.
