@KenPaxtonTX Ken Paxton is part of the solution. Any TX Senator who votes to impeach after this needs to be retired from office permanently and shamed for the rest of his or her life.

Ken Paxton’s former top cop endorses James Talarico: Ken Paxton has the mindset that if something is good for him, it should be all right whether it’s immoral or whether it’s a violation of the law. You’ll see the pattern repeated over and over again. It’s an embarrassment that he has spent his political life either being investigated or charged and impeached by his own party in the state legislature. That’s not who we want our Senator to be going forward. I’m very proud to be a Texan. I’m not a political individual. I’m a law man. That’s it. Simple. It’s what I devoted my life to. I’m going to vote for people that I think have integrity and will do a good job and represent us.

Ken Paxton’s former top cop who was fired after exposing Paxton’s corruption: After Paxton fired me, they started trying to hire somebody to take my place. One of the individuals who put it in for the application had an interview with Paxton. The determining question was: ‘Are you willing to be loyal to Ken Paxton?’ And he says, ‘What do you mean by that?’ They say, ‘Are you willing to be loyal to Ken Paxton above all else?’ He goes, ‘I’m loyal to Texas and I’m loyal to the rule of law.’ They said, ‘No, will you be loyal to Ken Paxton?’

"We want to just make sure that the baby has the opportunity to have the medically necessary treatment so that it can live." Texas AG Ken Paxton says Baby Gabriel is expected to undergo his first surgery within seven days of birth, followed by two additional procedures. The surrogate carrying Gabriel traveled to Texas to give birth despite the biological parents' request for an abortion, setting up a custody dispute over the child. Paxton says his office is not taking a position on who should get custody. He says the priority right now is making sure Gabriel receives the medical care he needs. .James Talarico: Ken Paxton has a criminal record. I have a legislative record. For over 4 terms in the Texas House of Representatives, I have brought Democrats and Republicans together to pass more than 60 bipartisan bills to cut property taxes, to raise teacher pay, to lower the cost of housing, prescription drugs, and childcare across Texas — and I’m gonna put that record up against Ken Paxton’s criminal record any day of the week, twice on Sunday. I’ve called out the extremes in both parties. I’ve called out Ken Paxton for his blatant illegal corruption, but I also called out President Biden when he failed to secure our southern border. I’m not interested in going to Washington DC to serve one political party. I’m going to Washington DC to serve the people of Texas. That’s the exact opposite of what Ken Paxton does — he serves himself and his billionaire megadonors at the expense of the people of the state.

.James Talarico: Ken Paxton is anti-puppy. I wish I was joking when I said that, but reports just came out revealing that as Attorney General, Ken Paxton protected a research lab that was notorious for torturing and killing hundreds of puppies. And then as a state lawmaker in the Texas legislature, Ken Paxton was one of the only votes against a bill to hold animal abusers accountable. Ken Paxton never misses an opportunity to do the wrong thing, and he won't fight for the little guy — even when the little guy is literally a puppy. I'm going to be a senator for all Texans, including our four-legged Texans.

Today Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to withdraw his infamous school board memo targeting parents. He said there was "absolutely nothing wrong with the memo" – even though his own FBI Director has testified there was "no compelling nationwide law enforcement justification" for it. Garland claimed he issued the memo in 2021 based on sporadic "reports in the press" of threats to school personnel. Yet he could provide no data to support his claim of an increase in threats, and Director Wray directly contradicted it in his testimony. The true reason for the memo is that the Administration saw the growing parents movement as a force for change in American education and a threat to its own power. Garland thus invented a pretext to turn law enforcement powers on American parents and discourage their participation in the political process. It is one of the most disgraceful abuses of power in American history and a window into what is driving decision-making at the current Department of Justice.

#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “To get a sense of Ken Paxton’s reputation in Texas, and the kind of thing that Texas voters have been hearing about Ken Paxton recently, consider that while Ken Paxton was primarying Republican US Senator John Cornyn, Cornyn’s ads against Ken Paxton looked like this: ‘It’s voting time, so let’s cut through the bullshit. Crooked Ken Paxton cheated on his wife, she’s divorcing him on biblical grounds, so now Paxton’s wrecking another home, sleeping around with a married mother of seven.’ Okay, so that’s who Texas Republicans have nominated to take John Cornyn’s Senate seat in Texas this year.”🤦‍♀️
