First Zelda Wind Waker trailer - Nintendo Space World 2001

You have no idea how pissed this made people. Everyone was EXPECTING something like the Spaceworld 2000 demo. Realistic Twlight Princess style Link. People were MAD. Game was fun, but not what fans were clamoring for after OoT and Majoras Mask.

Putting aside the artstyle thing, which I think is a good artstyle, this trailer is pretty boring it's just Link fighting one enemy over and over, it kinda makes sense that it wasn't received well.

Love u can tell what shots came later in development based on if Link's sleeves are brown or not

I feel like the reception would at least have been partially mitigated if the trailer ended on a boss fight clip instead of the Lonney Tunes gag

Je suis fan de Wind Waker mais cette première bande annonce est ratée et ca ne met pas en avant la grande beauté du jeu.

After all the furor, I totally forgot that this trailer doesn’t show the ocean, or really anything story related.

I don't remember exactly how I felt about the art style, but I liked how it seemed like it would be almost like a Zelda 1 remake, and how it didn't seem to feature the ocean. More forests and tombs and caves.

I think the worst part was the over exaggerated cartoony moblin antics. That’s basically all the trailer is. No substance otherwise. Makes you wonder if they toned it down in the final product, cuz I put myself in their shoes and yeah it’s pretty upsetting lol

The Fighting And Story Is Good In This Game But Them Damn Boat Rides Are KILLING Me. Im Just About To Go Find The Triforce Pieces Nd Im Just Gonna Finish These Oracle Games Instead
