Since signing the maritime security agreement with Turkey, Somalia’s fishing industry has been recovering. Under this comprehensive deal, Turkey has assumed authority over Somalia’s naval security to combat illegal fishing and other maritime threats. In return for providing these security services and training Somali naval forces, Turkey is entitled to 30% of the revenues from Somalia’s exclusive economic zone. Somali fishers, like Mohamed Abdullahi, have noticed a substantial improvement in their fishing yields since the deal was implemented. He mentioned that it previously took hours to catch a day’s worth of fish, but now the catches are more abundant. Despite this positive development, Abdullahi highlighted the need for the Somali government to build cooler storage facilities to preserve the increased daily catches in an interview with Overall, the deal with Turkey has enhanced the security of Somalia’s waters and revitalized the local fishing industry by curbing illegal fishing activities, thereby offering new economic opportunities for Somali fishers. Lowerton is a quiet seaside village where life moves at a gentler pace. The people here are warm and easygoing, shaped by the rhythm of the ocean that stretches just beyond their doorsteps. Fishing is at the heart of daily life, with fresh catches forming the backbone of nearly every meal. #IndieGame #IndieDev #GameDev #AlteriumShift #JRPG

A migrant boat sank off the coast of Libya leaving multiple people stranded in open water, clinging to each other and a yellow flotation device while waving desperately at a nearby fishing vessel. The fishing boat circled the area but never pulled anyone aboard - the crew reportedly feared being overwhelmed and having their vessel hijacked to continue toward Europe. This is the reality of what’s happening in the Mediterranean on a near daily basis. People risking everything to make a crossing that has claimed thousands of lives, and the boats that could help them choosing to keep their distance out of fear. What’s one possible solution? There are no easy answers here.

On this issues of Lagosians and indegeous brouhaha, I have a question and I will appreciate a genuine response only. If non-indegenous people born and brought up in Lagos are referred to as Lagosians, how then do we refer to the indegeneous people, to differentiate them from the non-indegenous people? NB: The video below is showing Akan-male, a mighty waves that that the fisherman at beach without bar mouth faced daily before entering the ocean , making their fishing more delicate. You can find this around Araromi, Folu, Akodo area. VC: Damilare

📢 6 days until closing arguments. At age 12, Jimmy Lai escaped Communist China. He was smuggled into Hong Kong on a fishing boat and started work in a garment factory. With grit and determination, he built a business empire from nothing. But after the Tiananmen Square massacre, Lai turned his focus from profit to principle. He founded Apple Daily, a pro-democracy newspaper, to stand for the freedoms he held so dear. He has spent more than 1,600 days in prison for his commitment to truth and democracy. Enough is enough. Learn more about Lai and his fight for freedom: #FreeJimmyLai

China-built road cuts time on way to school on Pacific island A three-hour walk to school is now a 20-minute drive for kids on Vanuatu's Pentecost Island, thanks to a new China-built road, according to Li Minggang, China's ambassador to Vanuatu. In this video, Li explains how similar projects across several other islands are changing daily life. But as Li points out, getting kids to school is only part of the picture. Training programs in farming, fishing and clean energy, plus scholarships to study in China, are giving Vanuatu the skills to build its own future.

Having watched the Argungun fishing festival and the hype, I now realized that, marketing is a key factor in every spheres. Looking at Ìlájé, where over 150k men enter the oceans daily to fish and over 100k women only in Ondo state and are already waiting for the men to return and buy the market from them, yet we're hardly known or recognized. Now imagine the wonders they are doing in Akwa-Ibom, Rivers state, Bayelsa, Delta ,ogun and Lagos state.... Yet, people barely know us, the state government of each of this state don't even recognized us not to talk of federal government. And these fishermen, especially in Ondo state has the capacity of buying billions worth of Naira of fuels daily...and they do this for 364 days yearly....mehn, the government need to recognized us and pay attention to us, just as they did to our counterpart farmer upland. I've been thinking about this for days, how can we bring ourselves to limelight? We need to be heard, seen and recognized, what and what do we need to do? We can't continue like this.... Nooooooooo 😭😭😭 Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola Man of Letters.

Thats not entirely true. Its a job, you doing work, is it normal to get emotional over routine job shenanigans? if you think it is, then u not really working properly or for long. Extremes happen tho, which is normal, and u get diddled emotionally. Same even if its a hobby, lets say trading is like fishing or those competeive games that test your reaction and finger motoric speed(depends on your trading style), its not normal to get emotional in those either if u doing it properly and for a longer period of time now, while extremes happen daily routine is boring as fuck. Same applies to almost everything. Most do not treat this as job or hobby, they behave as its gambling or some scratch card. Tho as i write this i remembered the video (second one attached) so on that note it seems its possible to become numb of routine in gambling too
