The vlog from Pollen Robotics is out! A fantastic visit in Bordeaux to see myself one of the only European humanoids companies. I visited their HQ and saw how they build and test robots. What happens when mobile manipulators go on a grid❓ This week Brightpick announced Gridpicker, its new robotic system for high-throughput applications. Combining AI-powered mobile manipulation with a high-density grid design, Gridpicker achieves up to 2x the throughput of shuttle systems at 40% lower cost and using 5x less labor. Most fascinating: The cost of Gridpicker DECREASES as automation increases 🤯 Traditional systems separate storage and picking. If you want more robotic picking, you add expensive robotic cells, more infrastructure, and more complexity. Gridpicker was designed differently: Each robot both retrieves items and picks them. The greater the share of robotically pickable items: The more productive each robot becomes The fewer robots are needed The lower the cost per order That means progress in AI and VLAs directly translate into better system economics over time. 🧸: to be honest, the gifting of the rice originally came from where every year my family would order rice grains. The packaging can used as a small waterproof bag and the design for instance, next year is the year of the horse (zodiac), so the design would be a horse (on the bag). Mum and dad would order the rice and gift it to people close to them. The packaging was cute and I liked it, so I thought I’ll take it and give it to P’Lena. I also gave her a shopping bag with a picture of nick (from zootopia) and belle from beauty and the beast. As madam likes to walk around, so I tucked in the shopping bag, incase she goes food shopping. #MiuNatsha #หมิวณัชชา

I had no idea! Liquid nitrogen is added to bottled water before it's capped so that it expands as it evaporates, pressurizing the bottle. Bottled water needs to be stackable for shipping and storage without much additional packaging, and the pressure makes the bottles stronger.

That's how parts get inspected! 🪡 The pace is ridiculous. Imagine people still doing this instead of machines. Renishaw’s system is one of the biggest shifts in coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs). Instead of moving the entire machine to capture each point, REVO uses a 5-axis scanning head that collects data through rapid angular motion.
