Fitz & Whit explain the problems with Drake Maye and the Patriots quick game “When you watch their offense it’s very simple, it just feels a little stale… There’s 3 or 4 times already, the alert has been the exact same play… he’s afraid to throw this quick out... show more

the quick out is a throw he struggled with even during the hot streak. He tends to be high and to the defensive side on that throw

Looking at the Drake Maye all-22 and just nothing coming easy for the offense. Tight windows. Drake under pressure, and playing pressed. Many plays he has no where to throw the football. It’s not just “let’s blame Drake”, but more a collective failing of the offense.

Breaking down how the #Patriots got their offense and QB Drake Maye going: more motion, a higher play-action rate, and Maye playing better in structure led to a big win in Buffalo. +Pats zones limit Josh Allen, quick-hit film notes, etc. Read:

Drake Maye on throwing in the elements: “When the snowflakes stop it’s a little easier to throw the football, got a little better grip. I think CJ will probably same the same, we both had some throws that was tough to get a grip on it. It’s tough in warmups because you get a feel where the ball doesn’t touch the ground & the guys are just passing it around with each other, pause (😂). There’s no excuse but there’s definitely times where the ball rolls around on the ground and gets a little wet.” I’m still dumbfounded how every Texans player & coach downplayed the snow & seemingly did nothing to prepare. Gloves should’ve been tested/considered.

Quick Thoughts after #Texas loses to Florida: • 4 years in and there’s been no development of Arch • Year six and the offense is the worst it’s ever been for Sark • I have no reason to believe things will magically change.

.Greg A. Bedard was very impressed with Drake Maye and A.J. Brown's chemistry at #Patriots minicamp👀 "I had Drake Maye as 20/23 in the red zone, 3 TD passes. One was to A.J. Brown, a very impressive back shoulder throw ... if you're a Patriots fan you have to be really encouraged by that. That they already show the timing on those type of passes,"

Adam Thielen on AJ Brown and Drake Maye 🎥: NFL on ESPN “It’s not about him, it’s what it does for the other guys. When he’s on the field, there’s attention, and there’s attention on him. These defensive coordinators are scheming for him. It opens it up for Drake Maye.”

He can make any throw…to be that young and to understand the defense and every little check, the hots, the blitz, so young and so fast, it’s very impressive…he’s a true leader. He’s a true leader of men. It’s crazy to see at a young age, he’s a true leader of men.”

Drake Maye on #Patriots WR Efton Chism’s game-winning touchdown: “I’ve got 2 touchdowns with Chiz, and he’s got 2 one-handers, so it’s a good trend we got going. I’ll maybe give him one that’s a little easier... He just keeps on doing the right thing... There’s guys in the building that I see late at night, and it’s Chiz. He loves this game. You get what you put into it.” (🎥 New England Patriots)

Drake Maye has been looking like the FUTURE of the league at Patriots training camp. Today, Maye reportedly “outdueled” Jayden Daniels (Commanders QB) at their joint practice together. Maye finished the day with 3 passing TD’s at a 67% completion rate. While Daniels finished the day with 0 TD’s at a 63% completion rate. Maye reportedly has the Patriots offense running in a “state of flow” they haven’t seen since Tom Brady (Former Patriots QB). The Patriots QB has taken a SIGNIFICANT jump since his rookie season 😳
