Why in the hell would anyone need this advice?? If the wife calls and asks me how it's going, then she's gonna get an earful, whether it's epic or crappy...The one thing that will definitely not be happening is twisting my world into a pretzel to downplay my day just so I can hope that my wife finds it adequate...That's simp behavior!!!

Yeah, I’m gonna agree with the person who said your wife’s an asshole. If you can’t be excited about your trip and tell her you don’t wanna chat and that you’re having a good time without her. If she’s jealous of you having a good time, she doesn’t love you.
