A car owner used to service his own car to save money on service costs. After some time, his car’s engine started overheating again and again. Even after driving the car a short distance, the engine would become extremely hot and problems started developing in the engine, even though he was also putting coolant in his car. Many years ago, I was told to shut the engine off. But I knew something they didn’t. If I shut that engine completely off, there was no guarantee it would ever restart at the level it once ran. So I kept it on. I tested it from time to time. I kept it sharp. I kept it ready. But I never put the pedal to the metal. I backed off when I needed to. I coasted when I had to. I protected the engine while the world assumed the race was over. It wasn’t. The engine is still intact. Still running. Still waiting. And maybe it’s finally time we find out what happens when The Big Guy puts the pedal to the metal again. And that’s the last bite. Feed Me More!
