@MeidasTouch Social Security & Medicare are not entitlements. Workers pay insurance so as Seniors they don't fall into poverty after retirement & become a burden on their families & communities. Very few could survive on 401ks & investments - particularly loss of healthcare. @RepEzell

@MeidasTouch Why are R's so fixated on this? It can't be because of the budget—we've already seen that they don't actually care about deficits. The remaining explanation: they simply don't think non-wealthy people *deserve* to be healthy, or secure in old age. The cruelty is the point. #MAGA

@MeidasTouch Republicans call Social Security and Medicare "entitlements" to deny that WE paid into these programs all of our work lives for our retirement BENEFITS. It's OUR savings they're trying to steal after they forced us to contribute. What a dupe!!

@MeidasTouch The gop knows it can't get its demands through the Senate. All they can do is fake getting a speaker until the govt shuts down, and then push its demands such as SS, medicare etc to reopen to govt. It will end the gop as it is known unless they blackmail Americans to elect them

@MeidasTouch FACTS: America is drowning in debt largely due to revenue tax cuts (repeated Republican tax cut) it is about math. Republicans presidents always left larger deficits and fewer jobs. Trump & Republicans represents 25% of the current debt, 8T, higher deficit started w/ Reagan.
