Everything changed when director Joel Schumacher heard the track and decided to include it in the end credits of Batman Forever (1995). He even tried to use it in a romantic scene between Val Kilmer and Nicole Kidman, but it didn't fit in, yet he insisted on putting it in the film. Schumacher also directed an official music video using footage from the production. The result was overwhelming: the song reached #1 in the US, became one of the biggest hits of the 90s and won three Grammys in 1996 (Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance). A #throwback to Peter’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, with this performance with Youssou N'Dour of 'In Your Eyes' ‘In Your Eyes’ was the first thing that I’d recorded with Youssou and it was very important for that reason. It was around the time I was going to Africa and really getting inspired by a lot of the music I was hearing there, particularly rhythmically and vocally. I’ve described Youssou’s voice as “liquid gold” and I think when he comes in singing on that track it’s just a fantastic moment.

This is an appreciation post for Jani Lane. Watching this black and white footage of Warrant performing “I Saw Red” hits different when you realize how much raw emotion he put into every performance. Jani wasn’t just a pretty face from the glam era, he was a songwriter who turned heartbreak, regret, and self destruction into anthems that still hit hard...I miss this guy...🖤

🎶 This South African kid just stopped me cold 👌💯 Just watched this clip and I had to sit with it for a second🤔 In an ordinary room in South Africa, one small boy on guitar, another at the keyboard and then a young boy in the front, completely unaware he has a beautiful voice, his eyes closed one moment and then staring straight at the camera, the next moment reaching out like the song is bigger than the room for such a young boy🔥 It’s the same raw intensity you see in those old clips of Michael when he was still a kid not polished only pure feeling. He’s not copying anyone. The music just lives in him. Remember this face‼️

A delivery guy was arrested by police for trafficking cocaine without knowing it. It was just another day at work. He received a call from a Nigerian lady at Dagoretti Corner. She wanted him to deliver food in a hotpot. The lady instructed him to take it to Kileleshwa estate in Nairobi. The guy did as instructed. When he arrived, he called the Nigerian man. While waiting, detectives suddenly appeared, opened the delivery bag, and to his shock, found cocaine wrapped in a small polythene pouch hidden inside the food. He was immediately arrested. As the officers were taking him away, he pleaded with them, insisting he was just an innocent delivery guy. He offered to help them catch the person who was supposed to receive the package. The police agreed. Some officers moved ahead while others stayed behind, watching him from a safe distance. He called the Nigerian man again. When the man came down from the apartment and was in the middle of paying him, he was arrested in a swift swoop. The delivery guy was released since he was innocent and had cooperated with the police.
